any body using the strc rear hub carriers on their scte, if so how do the hold up verus the tlr hub carriers? i do like the idea of the set screw in them to keep the hinge pin from moving back and forth to prevent wear. reason i am asking is i got a set of strc rear hub carries for a very little price so are they worth using or not.

Of course it's not necessary but a very good upgrade. The cars l/r and f/r distribution balances nicely. You'll def notice an improvement in the handling characteristics. Also if you want to get the weight distribution closer to the 2.0, with changing the motor mount placement, this is a good upgrade.

Is the ape battery tray a direct bolt on fit or does holes need to be drilled in the TLR lightwight flex chassis? looking at the ape web page there is no contact phone number to call just email info.

The tray will bolt right up to any normal layout SCTE chassis. You will have to slightly mod the plastic insert on the TLR chassis if you use it.

If you had emailed me directly I would have already answered your questions. There's a reason I don't put my number on the site.

The APE battery tray is a great buy.Moving the weight back makes a huge difference in jumping and handling. My truck used to plow through the corners until i installed that tray.To tell you the truth.I was running the APE tray for about six months. Then i bought the 2.0.I didnt notice much of a difference. It was a little smoother only because it was new though.Hope this helps.

Here's a trick I learned on rebuilding the diffs. If they lock up when reassembling, loosen them till they start to turn again, rotate till smooth, then slowly tighten, and spin them, as they are tightened. If this does not work, disassemble and start over.

I asked Chris from Leadfinger RC about making the rod end balls out of SST instead of anodized aluminum. All of the other products I have run in the past used steel and the pretty much last forever. I think if we drummed up enough interest he might do it. Anyone else interested like me??

if you suspend them in a closed bucket or container and let them absorb the fumes for a day or two the glue flakes right off..
