^ LMAO

ok, got to the track and had some good fun as usual the track was tight and squirrely with a big jump and it definately is not my style. The 4700 is way to much indoor and just too touchy and hurt me as coming out of a couple corners just bumping the throttle the truck would just launch even with the new Proline Ion tires and ended up trashing the servo and will try to rebuild it this 1 time but wanted to see what you guys recommend for this truck...

I do run spek DX3C w/ a sr300 receiver with the updated HW SCT Pro so what do you recommend and what are the odds it will glitch with my current gear?

I'm using the TLR hi-performance body at the moment. So far it's holding up well but I haven't gotten a real test on the parachute effect yet with indoor racing.

Yes it does reduce the parachute effect quite markedly.

I have tried:
1) Stock with no holes
2) Stock with back horizontal vent sections cut out
3) TLR Hi Flow with back horizontal vents, bonnet vent, roof vents cut

Each time was much better - easier to make a triple jump we have, better air control, less and less parachute effect.

It seems to be holding up to some pretty bad crashing as well, and my only other comment is that the rearmost aerodynamic fins bend quite a lot and have now snapped. To be honest, I can't feel the difference without them.

Parachute, yes... But you're still susceptible to blowover from big gusts. I had one gust of wind at the Barn - I swear pushed the truck back up 2 feet in the air and front over rear.

I never had too much trouble with parachuting with the SCTE.

Thanks Casper for your quick answer. It was really helpful.
I have the new ones. So I will buy the 1/8".

Casper / Nano, what oil setup would you recommend for a rough track using the 1.3mm 2-hole pistons ?

As with a lot of aftermarket bodies the FTW isn't perfect for the SCTE. The rear should be a bit wider and the front angles in too much, which causes tire rubbing. That's a shame cause I like the design and strength otherwise.

Btw: The new diffs are great. Good job!

True on the front. Had to trim the front of the wheel well for clearance.
+111 on the new diffs. Full day of running and no leaks!!!!

Good to know as I'm planning to update mine.
I have "destroy" the original body and am using a SC10 one for the moment (as on my avatar) but it's not perfect fit either.

Do you think the Proline body will have the same problems that you raised for the FTW ones?

How often do you change out shock springs Casper ? Bought mine as soon as they came out. The orange rear feel like they are getting soft. Will they ever come out where you can buy just one color ?
