The diff pins have been a big deal. Losi has already got the new batch in (Monday) and will be sending out replacements to whoever bought the SCTE. All that us needed is to reguster the truck at losi, call horizon and they will send you out new ones.
The diff cups are wearing, but are lasting for quit a while. My Ten-T cups are good. The SCTE are the same ones. If you want the ultimate upgrade in cups, losi will have their HD cups out very soon.
That's about it. The truck is pretty solid otherwise.
There really are no mods anyone is doing. The rear aluminum pin mounts are nice. You can adjust your antisquat with them.

Was having issues with my ballistic 4.5 running hot and lacking punch. Tried the 14mm tuning rotor today and it completely transformed the motor. I was running a 15 tooth pinion with the stock rotor and temps were 160-170. Ran as high as a 20 tooth today and the hottest the motor got was 140 and has easily 2x the punch of the stock rotor. It almost jumps off the ground when you hit the trigger. Best $35 I ever spent.

Went to RCX today and saw Ryan. I talked to one of his coworkers about the diff pin issue and Ryan came over and gave me a set of the replacement pins which he said should last me around 6-8 races. He said Horizon will send the real replacement pins in a few weeks.
Just have to say it was a pleasure meeting you Ryan and Losi's customer service is top notch. You just made a yourself a loyal customer for years to come. Thank you.

i will check it out. $35 aint bad compared to $200 for a esc. my setup has PLENTY of punch. almost too much but very powerful. it will fit the hv motor so i think i will order it up.

Just thought Id share a picture of my trimmed down SCTE. Dropped close to a half lb by ditching all the unnecessary stuff. No RX box or battery tray. Ditched 80% of the mud guards (just kept the front couple inches to deflect some of the dirt coming off the front wheels) cut the extra inch+ of body posts sticking out the bottom of the body mounts, cut the extra guard off of the center diff top plate.
Still have to put the titanium turnbuckles on it to shave a little more. I'm thinking about taking my chassis into work and having some pockets milled into it in some strategic places to get a little more weight out of it. I want to get this down to under 6lbs. Its at 6.2 now. I started at about 6.7lbs before the mods I mentioned above.
The battery is just held to the chassis with Velcro on the bottom and the single strap that I used some old goriallamax battery strap clamps to mount.
Im running a 6200mah trackpower battery and could probably save a little more if I went to something like a 5300 thunderpower.
Another big help was lowering the body mounts all the way as low as they could go. I needed to trim the wheel wells a bit more on the body to keep the tires from rubbing.
I took it out to the track this morning for a few practice laps with this weight reduction and it definitely feels a bit more nimble that it did in stock trim. I need to spend a little more time working on the setup but I really feel like its starting to come toghether. I need to play with some more dif and shock setups when I have more time next time.

I'll be out on the lathe playing around trying to make some of that stuff this week
