Also do you have the number of the piston faceing up top or the bottom because it looks like the side with the number on it the holes are bigger.
I always put the number up so I can see the number when I rebuild the shocks but just a habit thing. It should not matter.

Shock nuts (and all 5-40 nuts for that matter) are 1/4inch nut driver.

Wheels are 7mm nut driver as they are 4mm nuts. (get serrated nuts for this car so they stay on when the nylon wears out! )

Ok thanks well i dont have 30w for the rear shocks the heavyest i have is 32 1/2 w oil. So it would be 30 f/#4 pistons and 32 1/2 #3 pistons i guess that would be fine for now im not running on a bumpy track so.

oh man, i kno its coming here soon...funny thing is, its been down in the freezing here lately til this weekend then it decided to hit 60* today and should be just as nice tomorrow!

Thats 1 thing i miss about my Traxxas Slash...ran it stock with paddle tires and it was a blast, didnt need to go fast, just out tooling around with the fam(bro-in-law, nephew, and buddy). We also ran nimh batts and kept the lipos inside but maybe one day when i can swing it i'll buy something like that again but the way its going maybe Losi will have an all waterproof truck/something so i dont have to go back to Traxxas

Default New SCTE spotted

Went and ran nitro today at Reveleation raceway in Pomona. Was told Losi was there this past week testing and shooting pictures of the new truck. Was told it's about 1 pound lighter,Reconfigured chassis,No battery tray just fore and aft blocks that lock the pack in. All the TLR parts including front and rear pin holders ETC. New tubular chassis braces. This guy said it looked real good on the track. I for one cannot wait! Supposed to be released sometime in January, but we all know how release dates get pushed back over and over. Anybody got any more info on this new one??

I can see why you guys say go with the no bladder emoulsion setup on the shocks the bladders are not that good on this truck .

It was having diffrent rebound every time i push the shaft up. But im racing tommrow with that truck and i think i will go with the Emolsion shock setup.

Guys what are some of the secrets to getting weight out of this truck? I'm running the stock roller chassis with stock plastic braces. Also running a carbon fiber center diff top plate and carbon fiber losi towers. I currently have a 4.5t 550 can motor with a 1/8th esc. Running hardcase 2s lipos. Already have trimmed the rear bumper and I'm running a jconcepts body.

Swiss chesse the battery tray , cut side nerf bars off, trim rear bumper as mentioned, ditch the radio box but keep the servo mount side, use s 540 can instead of 550 can motor, hd outdrives, aftermarket chassis ( of choice) ti screws n tie rods, thats basically it

take your shock collar adjusters right off and let the spring seat right at the top of the shock, got me down to a 9mm ride height with the losi ten-t gold front spring and stock black front spring in the rear (with the collars about 9mm down from the top. It works great on the carpet for me, still have full droop too

Throw stock chassi in trash and upgrade is biggest weight cut
Cut a lot of holes in battery tray to lighten up its a big heavy chunk of plastic
Cut the side handles off on mud guards
