yes, that's a good start point, but you should be able to go 15T.

Hey Rc Phreak...u think that new 4700kv motor be something to check into as the combo or should I stick to sc411? Kinda torn since there are so many options but I kno hobbywing really unleashes the power of these motors

i don't know. i have one coming in next week to compare. if you don't already have an esc, the combo with it might be worth checking into. i just don't feel good about recommending something i haven't tried. i'll know more in a couple weeks when i get a chance to run it.

15 tooth is a little high. my motor read over 200 degrees with a 15 tooth and no fan. I am now running a 12 tooth with a fan and my motor temps are around 140 degrees now.

depends on a lot of factors. around here, our quals are 5 or 6 mins and our mains are usually 6 mins. i've run as high as a 16T on my 4600 with the RX8 esc. ran 16T last week and after 6 minute main it was 165. if you're running 10 minute mains, obviously that will change things.

ok, did some looking and whats the difference from the SCT Pro and the SC8 hobbywing esc? If i look up combo part #'s i see the sc8 in one combo and the sct pro in another and i dont really see much of a difference when looking but READ what is says and it usually will say if its the sct pro or SC8 esc so kinda wondering....
