Stock oil is about 30. it is not the same losi oil you would replace it with but is closest to 30wt.

1/2 inch screws to in the front 6 locations if that makes sense.

I've learned to stop lawn-darting my truck and the bumper stopped breaking

I can see where the TiNi shock shaft some people might say it has smoother feeling, even though I'm not sure how much actual performance you would gain. Has anybody bent a shock shaft on the SCTE yet - during a normal race type environment?

But the hinge pins? Has anyone actually bent them? or I wonder how long the TiNi coating actually lasts? I know they are a little longer length so that might be something....

Don't get me wrong, I'm really trying to justify buying them - I just haven't finished convincing myself.

The shock caps - yeah I see the convenience just cant justify the cost quite yet either though.

Any thoughts on how to convince myself?, or are they truly more a bling factor?

IMO they are definately worth buying.Ive bent both hinge pins.Just slight but definately bent them.Even the slightest bend will cause problems with binding. You will find yourself diving nose first off jumps.Anything thats gonna make your suspension smoother and keep it from binding is worth it in my book.

Ok i only see four chassis holes underneth the front part of the chassis that go into the front gearbox . So it sounds like the 1/2 flat head screws go into all four of the front countersunk holes ? What about the rear end ? I just dont want to strip the holes or put a to small of a screw in.

So - I don't want a new bumper, but the bumper hype and hysteria had me wondering.

I went and looked at the RPM and read the text. In it, RPM says, "In comparison to a stock rear bumper, we moved it rearward by a full ½” to help reduce the problem of rear impacts destroying bodies."

Moving it rearward is impossible if it's just the rear bumper w/o a modified mounting system. So I would have to think it includes a new mount system, vs. using the stock one which everyone seems to be reported.

Or am I missing something?

How many long ones do you have the titanium screw kit comes with 6 1/2 screws. We put 4 in the front diff housing to the chassis and the other two to hold the front of the center diff mount.

I think it just adds stubs to the mounting locations to extend it the bumpers back.

I have the stock 1/2 screws four of them and six of the 3/8 flat head screws. Im guessing the rear end is the same ?
Im not sure why the manuel display doesnt show where the them screws go at.

Careful Grasshopper,Titanium is lighter than steel but can be softer...I.E. can bend more easily. No These are steel With ti ni coating they wont bend!!!!!I was hoping they were coated titanium..

I know the aftermarket Mfg. love this truck they seem to be on it like a traxxas. I have not seen this many chassis since the T MAXX.

Losi has so many options for the truck I sure do miss the days of the Team losi XXX BK or MF series where you did not want anything for the truck.

I have a truck out of the first batch and have the original rear bumper and chassis. I wish that the motor mount would give a little more gearing options. Stock mount goes from 11t to 20t. The RTR motor seems to need a little more gear to be competitive on a big track. The Elite motor has the opposite problem and goes from a 14t to either 25 or 26 tooth. I ran a Castle 1512 2650 on 2 cells and it hauled with a 25.

Have you noticed the MIP chassis flipped the front and rear center driveshafts to give a better angle to the front driveshaft like the King HeadZ.

[QUOTE=Casper;10657991]Stock oil is about 30. it is not the same losi oil you would replace it with but is closest to 30wt.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is it the same front and rear? I ask because this is my second SCTE and I like the way it drives with the stock shocks. My first truck I put a different set up on it right out of the box and it wasn't as good as stock. I had a shock cap come loose and I lost the fluid in a rear shock, so I replaced them both with 30wt and it feels the same. I am about to change the front oil and wanted to make sure it was 30wt also because the set up sheet says 40wt.
