  • TLR1058 5deg castor block
  • TLR1049 25deg front kick shim
  • TLR2931 +.75mm rear spacer
  • TLR5166 White Rear Shock Springs
  • LOSA5253 25wt Shock Oil

Please can someone confirm if the below 2 are essential? From what I can see they are aluminium versions of the RTR parts that are in plastic, so are more of a durability upgrade with potential effect on weight?
  • TLR1072 Aluminium Front Pivot
  • TLR2060 Aluminium rear camber block

Thanks in advance for your help.
Yes, it is a combination or durability and weight, but mostly weight for me.

When running more washers under the ball stud it helps to switch to a longer one. After switching to a longer ball stud I never had one rip out again.

I always just use a drill be to make that hole a through hole, then use a 10mm ball stud (longer one), and haven't had any issues.

I see in a lot of setups that 3 turns out in the rear shocks is very common. It seems at most, some people do 1 limiter. Does TLR plan to release a longer shock shaft for the rear? I only ask, because we used to unscrew the .71 fronts on the b4, but then AE released .80 shafts.

Thanks for that answer Frank.

I was ordering the parts from the local hobby store here, and apparently someone came in the day before and purchased the same parts. Proof that your setup is bringing in the dollars to Losi. Seriously, thanks for helping us get our buggies dialled.

OK.. it worked.. its all free.. little sanding.. little loosening and all good..

OK next issue, need advice...

On the Rear Drive Shaft and Hub Assembly...
B-1
The rear plastic hex TLR2052 that goes over the outer drive shaft... It does not fit beyond the threads... It seems to me it should be pushed all the way up against the spacer/bearing.... Do I ream out the hex to make it fit? Do I force it?

Again thanks for the advice!

Anyone tried franks setups on outdoor wet/dry mixed tracks. seems like most people on here race indoor hard packed tracks. so hard to get good info on outdoor tracks.

On a related note, not from personal experience, but the standard setup is what several local drivers have recommended I try for outdoor packed surfaces.
