Had a hard day today. My car was like a pendulum. I had a full stick pack back with the pad in front, but man it felt like I had 50 pounds on the arse of my buggy. I'm using the frank root set up.

Any ideas besides moving the batter forward, because that didn't help too much either.

As Frank said, go with a rear configuration for the buggy.
ESC's, I recommend Orion or LRP.
Servos, pretty much any higher end metal gear servo will work well, Savox has some pretty good deals.
Lipos, check out Promatch.com, they offer good batteries at very good prices.

I myself will try that... I found his set up excellent for me except the full size battery did feel like it was a little front end heavy.
Would these fit?

Cut one of the side tabs off the shelf and put it next to the ESC.

Anyone Run the proline black diamond shock shafts? Is there really a big difference from the ones in the kit?

The setup is developed for a shorty pack, which is 60-100g lighter than a full like pack, hense the heavy feeling.

I mount the switch and cap on opposite sides of the rear battery/ESC mount. The cap sits right against the body, but it fits fine.

No, it is full size. If you are running mid-motor and need extra space on the chassis, you can go with the low profile servo - SPMSS6070.
