Also...

anyone think a castle 4-pole 4600 motor with 16t pinion on the blue delrin spur will cause heating issues or would this be good? ESC will be an MMP.

Here is what I have so far. Please let me know if you see anything I did wrong and should change as this is my first electric kit. I know the servo is crap but the one I ordered won't be here till Monday and I want to test it out tomorrow. All input is very much appreciated.

I don't think your body will fit well with the esc in the back like that. I would put it on top of the servo and the rx in front of the battery tray. It's a fun kit!

The body dropped right on. I tried putting the esc on the servo but it would'nt fit with the fan on it. When my new dremmel shows up i'm gonna grind down the sides of the fan so it sits closer to the esc then i'm gonna move it to the servo. It will probably stay cooler up front. Thank you for your reply.

If the body fits then run it! See what you need to adjust after some laps.

You should be fine if you've got a good battery.

Looks good to me. Are you going to race? 3800kv might be a little slow with a 14t pinion. But it all depends what you want it for. For a tight technical track that'll be okay.

Losi Ten-T

The holes line up, but they are larger on the Losi wing. Cut a thin slice of fuel tubing or use an A-arm shim or something to center them.

My brother use to run the CC SW 3800 with 14t and that works just fine.
He did not even have a fan on the esc..

The Tekin RX8 ESC will work fine mounted on the servo, you just have to angle it slightly to clear the servo arm..

We have experimented a lot on our local carpet track and foams or proline striker II are by far the best.

Foams require a bit of work and a tyre truer if you can't find pre mounted.
At our track race rules state we must use stock wheels so premounts are not an option.
So the process is lathing of the wheels to remove regular tire mounting ribs, glue on tires, trim tire edges and then true to correct size.

Strikers just glue on - use associated truck foam inserts with them (asc7880)
