Anybody figure out a good fix for the pillow ball that keeps popping out of the knuckle? Had it out 3 times and its happened twice now....might stick to 8th scale if I can't resolve this.

Your only running a 4600 mamba? and popping front balls constantly {is cracked?}? I run an rs pro with a 6.5 ballistic {thats like 6400kv}, and I dont have any problems... Are they popping when you land jumps {like normal driving conditions} or are they popping when you melt down {like 5 double cartwheels into an oncoming 1/8 scale}??? I have done some pretty silly crashes and no huge breaks... besides a couple bent shock shafts before I changed the shocks and a few popped rod ends before I switched to heim joints.....

Yea same knuckle.....maybe add another piece to my list. The 1st time it all came apart was when my little guy ran into a curb just as he started to brake, not that fast....at a slight angle and just right enough to miss the T-Bone racing bumper I had just installed, lol!

The second time was last night....I ran it this time with a 3S and of course the landing off a jump wasn't received well.

But I thought this was a common occurrence....its mentioned thruout this thread. Maybe its just us that dont know how to drive.

check carefully the knuckle has no hairline crack causing it to pop out.

Well I took it apart after supper and looked at the openings where the ball goes thru and I couldnt see any cracks but the opening was messed up a bit from the ball coming out a couple of times.

Funny thing tho, I checked in the Hyper's parts bin and among other things, it seems I ordered some spare knuckles. Sweet. Grabbed one and swapped over all the parts and installed it onto the truck....hmm, I grabbed a left instead of a right, removed and swapped all over again.

Put in a 8000Mah 2S lipo and went for a walk/drive with the boys with the older one taking his Flux along. In between racing the Flux (I won in which he proceeded to turn into me as we both went for a good tumble down the street) flying thru construction home sites and a couple of parks, the Hyper never skipped a beat. Actually both trucks returned home over an hour later with all their parts intact.
I think the Hyper might stay in the stable for awhile longer.

Default Check out the MONSTERS!

Here she is some new Trencher 2.8's! For BaShIn there great. I wanna ask you guys a ?. I was running the SCT 3800 in the truck on 3s until I got my new wheels. I figured it might be a bit much on the motor with these and 3s. So I installed a Novak 7.5 HV. I picked up a 15t pinion and it seemed to run well. Motor wasnt eben breaking a sweet in the 1/10 on 3s. But 10 mins into the run my new pinion fell off! And ofcourse I couldnt find it for the life of me. Well I had to make a 70 mile round trip to get it. I dont have $25 for another pinion and gas. The only other place I know that has a mod 1 pinion is a toy store/ hobby shop down town. Its 19t thou. Do you guys think 19/45 would be to much? I mean the 7.5 HV is intended for the E Maxx on 4s. So Im wondering if it could handle that high of gearing on 3s in the Hyper.http://
