Can I just use 8.2 arms with the RC8B "upgrade" towers and still keep the stock "b" shocks. I understand the upgrade towers are taller than the 8.2 parts that use a shorter shock...?

Yes you can use the arms and yes the "worlds towers" are bigger. The only down side to sticking with the "b" shocks is you dont have the full benefit of all the extra droop the rc8.2 has..That being said us rc8.2 owners are finding out is that the extra droop is actually hurting the car..really it was fine the way it was on the rc8b(e). For me at least. There is alot of info on droop settings and all the other BS they shouldnt have changed (lower B plate) in the rc8.2 thread. Hope this clears up some things.

hey guys finally got my RC8Be. It is used but in great condition and running on Tekin rx8 + 2050 motor. Have been driving around on a indoor parking lot to test it out (weather has been rainy) and theres seem to be an issue with the reverse.

Not sure if its the esc or my radio but it will take me couple of tries to reverse. I can brake to a full stop properly but in idle position to reverse is spotty. any help?

I'm running mine with diffs 5-5-2 but my car does not turn if I let off if I turn then roll on the throttle this car will turn quick, it's a different animal between being on the throttle or off. Is this normal for this car I used to run a HB Ve8 HHH

Just a quick question about gearing. What would the optimal gearing be in this guy is running 4s Lipo with a MMM 1512/1.5Y 1800kv setup. Looking for something i can set and forget as far as tinkering with gearing. Doesn't need to be the fastest thing out there but i don't want to be wasting potential by under-gearing for this combo.

Is there a specific upgrade "kit" to upgrade my RC8be to RC8.2e specs? I've been searching but can't find anything.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Hey tommy,

I couldn't find anything either as far as an upgrade kit goes, but I did find all of the changes that they made, and did some comparisons as far as both manuals go. I compared side-by-side both manuals and typed out all of the changes. I got most of the parts...some of them aren't worth upgrading...ex. covers for the CVDs...thats just me though. I hope this helps!

As far as setup goes, I am running an RX8 1900kv motor with Venom 4s Lipo 5000mAH, it doesnt fit when I put the body on...OOPS! I have not ran the car yet because right now in time I haven't had the chance to take my car to an indoor track, and the nearest that allows indoor 1/8th scale is 2 hours or so away...bummer =/!!

I'm thinking a 20t. I run a 19t on my 1900 with stock spur.
