I'm pretty sure I installed them tapered side down and flat side up (as the shock is normally installed with the shock body on top).
As for my rear camber links...doh! I'll turn them around tonight.

I've got my RX8 all boxed up and ready for the RMA. I get nervous when the paperwork to send the Rx8 in wants your Credit card information on it. And says $94 for repair.
Even though this thing is 2 weeks old, this is the kind of thing that happens to me.

Hey gregg,
I have the XP Digital DS1015 servo. Made my associated. I'm pretty sure this is the same one you have.
Which hole on the servo steering horn did you use? The end, middle, or closest?
Frank

I knew there was something wrong with me when I realized I still know the VIN numbers to all of my last 5 cars, from memory of course.
Agreed, they do next to nothing but hold gears. They do however provide support for the shock towers. So if you find yourself casing jumps and bending upper shock bolts and standoffs, I would throw caution to the wind. You might just end up ripping the shock tower mount screws out of the diff.

Yeah, that is a good point. But time will show what happens. No reason to change them before it eventually happens. And as you know this car is more onroad than offroad now, so it won't get that much bashing and jumping anymore

Gregg I had to return a 10th scale RS PRO once for a screw up that I made. I even told Tekin it was my mistake and what I had done. And they still didn't charge me. Great bunch to deal with. I would just call them a few days after they should have it just to see what was wrong. Good Luck

Everyone,
In the spirit of RC tech's best thread (RC8be thread); I too will carry on the tradition of posting up the final pictures of my newly completed RC8be.
I am ordering the skid plates and the dust guards. Otherwise, she's pretty much done!
BTW, I want to do a cammie paint job like the one I've attached into this post. Different colors, but the same concept. Does anyone have any clue how to make this pattern happen?
And to all that have assisted me in this build with my questions and sharing all of your knowledge:
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also what do you guys suggest to do first when you get something used from someone? I usually go through the shocks and reoil them all, check the steering linkage to make sure nothing binds, then the drive train (that was for all the 1/10 scale stuff). What would you suggest on these beasts?
