My LHS just got some DX3R Pros in stock and I was going to grab one as I don't have a radio yet. I was looking at the 4PL too - the PKS being too pricey.

I have been reading the thread in the electronics forum, but wanted to ask anyone here too, if no one minds!

Futaba is all I ran back in the day (so long ago), but I have a Spektrum for my TRex heli and it is solid, so I feel good about Spektrum. Any early reviews here about the Pro?

I have 46 spur, 18t pinion and 5000 4s in mine, plenty of speed. Faster than nitros on straight a ways. What batteries are you using?

I too had Futaba back in the day. I have had Spektrum 3r for a couple of yrs no prob. and love the fact it only needs 4 AA and they last a long time. I prob. will get the new Pro.

I also went to Dollar Tree and found a color that matches the AE blue on the alum. parts. Its L.A. Colors, Color Craze BCC566 Wired. I touch up the shock towers and they still look new. I also got black to touch up the shock caps.

thanks, I thought that may have been the case because the motor would only get "warm." I'm ordering some more pinions!

5000 4s 40c, tons of torque but top end still not quite there. I'm going to order some pinions. Any knowledge on the timing of the esc though?

thanks

Depends on track. I usually use 18th 46spur, mtr 150 after 15min. You wanna stay around 150 to 160 for mtr temp. with air temp 85. This is on a highly technical track, med. size. If your car keeps up with others then no need to push it. If not go up one tooth and keep an eye on your temps.

Make sure you have ventilation if you need it. Put some holes in the body if you have too.

The one in front of the centre diff? Pretty sure i saw one somewhere. I'll have a look about for you.

Today is a good day. Got a slip from the post office for a customs charge. Went and paid it and picked up my boca bearings! Now i can actually get it built, hopefully by tonight! They've actually sent another set as this lot was thought to have been lost in the post so if anyone wants them i'll post them back over stateside with a decent discount.

I'll hopefully get pics of the car up later on!
