guys, I know this is an a$$ question, but I can't find the posts in regards to those dirt gaurds what so ever. I'm wanting to order them...
Can anyone throw me the website again?
Btw, if you have some "RC Tech" search tips, please, by all means throw them my way. The way I searched for this topic was
Search under RC8be Forum:
Keywords: Dirt + Mud + Gaurd
I found conversation and a few pics in this thread but didn't see the link to purchase them. I know it was posted.... bah...

Fortunately for me, my wife is pretty tolerant of my hobbies.
Back before we were married, my apartment had car parts everywhere. I distinctly remember one day she came over, and I had a couple of intake manifolds, a bunch of injectors, a throttle body, and a few other parts all over the dining room table. I remember her telling me that she didn't mind that I liked doing car work, or even that I would spent lots of money on car stuff, but she just really did not like the car parts being in the house.
So they stay out in the garage, except stuff that's new in the boxes. The RC stuff she doesn't really care about. Probably because it's a lot smaller.
Now there are times when I get a lot of eye-rolling. Like, "Honey, I was thinking about buying another (insert something here...wheels, race tires, etc etc)." One thing she never gives me grief about is safety equipment. I remember when I told her how much a HANS would cost. She didn't even blink and said "Buy it."
Now, when she saw the quote for the brake replumbing project, that was a different story.

She said, "Ok go ahead and buy it. But I want a Coach purse".
Can't beat that! Haha... awesome.

My man cave is my garage, but I don't have a fridge in there. It's so full of full scale car stuff and tools, so I don't have any room for RC stuff (even with a 3' x 16' workbench!). So for now, the RC stuff is in our dining room.
I need to figure something out before she gets tired of it.
I proposed that we get rid of one of the beds in the spare bedrooms, but she wasn't really crazy about that idea.My wife hates my RC habit so I never bring anything in the house, the only drawback is my garage isn't environmentally controlled so the winter time gets a bit tough. It's amazing how much you can still do when you can't feel your fingers
![/QUOTE]You may as well be speaking for me here!! my wife tells me that RC consumes my life! I tell her shes crazy but in my mind im thinking "hell ya it does, RC is fuckin awesome!!"

I'm lucky in this regard too. Just yesterday, Mary says to me, "Hey, how much do you need to finish up your little car there". And I said, "Well, with spare parts, charger, and some other stuff you won't care about.. eh, 800 bucks."
She said, "Ok go ahead and buy it. But I want a Coach purse".
Can't beat that! Haha... awesome.

My wife is kind of the same way. She out spends me on clothes at least 10:1. Most of my clothing comes from Old Navy and a few of the discount stores around here.
Can't beat $12.99 for Polo Chaps long sleeve button down work shirts.
Also get khakis from Old Navy on sale for $20 or so. I don't have to wear a suit very often, so I can get away with business casual 99% of the time. At the rate I'm going, though, I'll probably have to start at least wearing dress slacks and shirts a few times a week, though. I'll admit that my wife is pretty savvy when it comes to clothes shopping, though. I can't remember the last time she bought something at Banana Republic at regular price (BR is by far her favorite place). She does a lot of "bargain" shopping, although clothes on sale 40% off at BR are still pretty expensive, IMO.
I will say that I probably out spend her, though, so I'm glad she's forgiving about that. Between all the stuff I have going on, I can spend a few bucks here and there. My wife finally got to the point where she doesn't get sticker shock when it comes to the race car.
That said, we do have a pretty good policy. Usually anything $100 to $150, we don't need "permission" from the other, but anything higher than that, we usually discuss beforehand.
Not to mention that my son has expressed interested in Kart racing!

Hey Sarinexia, if you don't want to order a bunch of stuff from A Main in order to get free shipping, for just a bit more, you can order the DE stuff direct. It's not that much more, shipping is included, and they ship FAST.

seeking advice from those running the mmm esc. I'm running a 2200 motor w/ a 17t. Still a bit slow on the straights. I don't think I'll be financing a good 6s anytime soon so I would like some advice regarding the timing adjustment.
I haven't done any research on the matter so anything would be great. Thanks dudes!
