R/C Tech Forums - RC10B4.1 FT/WC

Has anyone had problems with their differential thrust bolt breaking? I have now broken two in the last week and I can not figure out why. Please help!! Thanks! Oh, I am running a 17.5t Tekin motor with a Tekin RS ESC. Gearing is 72t spur gear with a 31t pinion.

Over the past indoor season i managed to break 7 of them clean off but i was running a 7.5 on a high traction type track where we run slicks. Once i backed my slipper off some the problem seemed to go away :rolleyes:

Would the regular clay compound tires work on a blue groove clay track that isn't watered?

The funny thing is I had a certain owner of a certain track ;) rebuild the diff for me. He wasn't there at the end of the week last week so I couldn't pick his brain and I didn't get in today. That Edit diff screw would be awesome but it says it's not available yet.

I had a trust assembly weld itself in the outdrive. Had to replace it all

in 1/10th buggy i don;t like too much traction in the rear. |Just enough to be able to steer with the throttle if I need to but using your finger be able to accellerate out of the corner with little of the front wheels on the ground

I agree. I like my rear bite as predictable as possible with the best balance between traction and corner speed. I never like to much steering that just gets u in trouble. I always run a tight diff also. I tried loosening it but it never worked the same. A tight diff works better for me.

Braking issue

Brand new RC10B4.1 Brushless RTR. First day ran just fine. 2nd time use, the brakes are locking up in neutral position. I set ESC to factory defaults, still no change. It is as if the brakes are on the whole time because of the sound and the minute i let off the throttle they lock up. Has anyone ran into this problem before? I am very new to RC cars so any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. :nod:

What wing does everyone run? I noticed with the stock wing when the shocks are compressed the wheels hit the wing. Some wings have clearance for the wheels but wanted to know what was the most popular one.
