RC10B4.1 FT/WC
quick question about shock cap bleeder screws..i have learned to be cautious and was totally aware they strip easily or never really get snug even when new with out stripping,,i watched the base of the head and stoped tightening when it got close to flush to the flat part of the cap that the bleeder screw sits against, but some how they still leak, its a bummer cause u spend all the time to try and get it pretty and without air and after a pack or two i find they are seeping some oil out of the bleeders..i think when i bough my first b4.1ft it came with some stainless screws for the bleeders.i think they may have had a slightly bigger head on them or maybe they were the next size up in diameter..any tips to gettin em to stop leaking without having to go and but the new caps,,these thing are still fresh..thnks in advance
I will also say that kurt wennger's setup for indoor tracks posted a few pages earlier is amazing. Red avid's all the around (F&R) with Sweep 10Droid silver tires F&R is so unreal, Ive tried all the ae, losi, and avid springs for cross ref. so ya know
That's 3 limiters equalling .090! 3-.090 limiters is .270 and is 1/3 of the stroke. The only Place that would be applicable would be an extremely high bite track. I'm not sure where the "set up" in question was run, but doing what's good for you is always a better option! Using other peoples set ups for reference only is not a bad thing, but good for one is not always good for all!

I ran Avid yellow front and rears this past weekend with good results...went from losi orange/white combo--I believe the yellow fronts are rated at a 3.06 which is a touch stiffer than a losi orange, and the yellow avid rears are rated at 1.99 which is real close to what the losi yellow rears are.Im running a full length pack BTW

The Losi springs are rated on something totally different. They are consistant with other springs in the Losi line, but there is a substantial difference between the stated rate of TLR springs and the AE/Avid springs. The Losi springs are much softer if you're just comparing the advertised rate.
Just sayin', but yellow avids and green AE is substantially stiffer than yellow losi.
They are rated as advertised! Associated is the only other manufacturer that is rated as advertised. The others vary +/- a bit. Been rating springs for years and the AVIDS are spot on!
