I'm new to the buggy so forgive my ignorance but how soft do they run typically?

You might of overscrewed the 2 screws that end up upside down. You can turn off your radio and adjust those screws but turning left/right with the servo OFF.

Maybe use a little locktight since it's metal to metal and keep the screw loose enough so it won't bind?

+1. Noticed this upon assy. Locktite & little less than 'tight' has been good for a couple of weeks now. Some shiming may be in order though...

The importance is change. The hex conversion will make you use other brand wheels I there aren't any available. Performance wise... Strength over performance really. The hex has less chance of the wheels stripping out over the pin style wheel.

Thanks guys! I took the assembly apart and put it back together. Runs smooth now. I have to say, I can already tell the avid rack is far superior then the stock steering assembly. No slop at all and the steering looks to be more responsive.

I will not change anytime soon then, I can't justify buying more rims just to change to hex, maybe the new buggy ( when it comes or if it comes) will have this on it, droop screws, big bore, ?????

"Soft" was refering to the spring rates. Someone suggested using the springs from the sc104x4 which would have a stiffer spring rate than what is used in 2wd buggy.

The response was suggesting that the sc104x4 springs would not work because they do not offer them "soft" enough (low spring rate).

The only facts I've heard is the big bore conversion kit somtime this summer. As far as a new car from AE? Why? It's still dominating. Yes it makes no sence if you have a ton of non hex wheels. Just run them till there no good then run hex. You will like the convienience of not having to pop bearings out of the fronts alot!

I agree on the b4.1 being the best offload buggy!!!!!!!, I thought the big bore would come out as a new kit? I would love.to see droop screws!!!!!!!

It has been talked about a few times on the SC10 2wd.
and in one word.. Pointless.
They are large. also have very limited spring selection for spring rates. They are on the 4x4 due to it's weight. the Buggy is half the weight. I am not saying it can't be done. just a pointless thing to do and money/time can be put into lap times/tires/AE's new BB shocks when released. etc

Nothing is wrong with the stock shocks/springs or the stock shocks Losi/Avid BB springs.. Which are 12mm. the 4x4 are 13mm.
