I think you have that backwards... the fragility of the B4 and the slop developed in the car will lead to higher spare parts sales. The more durable cars being developed today last MUCH longer between part replacements. How do i know? because iv owned and raced almost all of them.
I admit the B4 parts are a bit cheaper, but id rather have the precision and durability from the get-go.
As much as I like the B4, im sure I would like the B5 even better... you are the only guy that is SO MUCH of an AE B4 fanboy, that you don't even want them to develop something new.... Cmon George, a B5 would be awesome

This is why I'm switching to Durango 210. I like AE but the quality needs to improve and design changes need to occur before I comeback.

Define way to sloppy...lol
My B4 is as clapped out as they get and still wins and turns the fastest lap times with minimal maintenance.
Everybody thinks you need the precision of a 12th scale for 2wd buggy. The fact of the matter is a car with a little slop is WAY more forgiving and doesn't get upset over every nook and cranny in the track.
Think about it when saying the b4 is do for an update. The B4 is the winningest platform EVER made. It has taken almost eight years to even come close to its performance.
Also it takes a world champion driver and a capable car to win the worlds. So to say the without Cavs = No win is bogus. How many titles has the B4 won with other drivers????
Thats like saying within Nueman(spl.) the Durango's no good.
Save some cash and stick with one ride and figure it out. In most cases, going from car to car isn't going to make you faster. However practice and experience with a one car do.
To me the B4 is similar to running HB beams at our home track.
They may not be the absolute best for every condition but they work in all conditions.
PS: If you couldn't tell I still love my B4.

So you say, but actual driving characteristics would dictate otherwise. A B4 is sloppy, but isn't forgiving.. the car is usually right on the edge. It's a difficult buggy to drive because of that (thats also why its so fast)... The Losi 22 is a VERY precisely engineered car, and it is about 10x as forgiving to drive as a B4.

Can't believe some think fancy graphics
on a few parts makes a better car ......
Cpt ,
@ the track , put a O-ring under each ball end ..
you will not have one bit of slop
then drive
and discover what JW already knows ......

omg i never heard of this, so you put it on top of the ball stud like a foam..?

The slop in my B4 doesn't come from the ballstuds and ballcups, it comes from where the hingpins go through arms, spindles, etc.
And nobody said anything about being impressed with fancy graphics... im not even sure what you're talking about.

I guess some hasn't heard of clearance tolerances . SLOPPY MEANS BALLISTIC FAST LAPS . tight equals slow to struggling laps ! Yes when black is gone replace , Ballcups are a must every two months !.
