When it comes to balancing tires does using closed cell insert result in a more balanced tire from the start than traditional inserts?

Hi guys, looking for some advice. I race on an outdoor track that is run wet during club races, double dees are great when it is wet. During practice early in the day or if I go out on a practice day its impossible to keep the track wet until the sun goes down, so here is my question, Which compound should I use if I wanna run out there during the day? The track would be dry, dusty and extremely abrasive. I want to run a tire that will not wear, not to concerned with grip just something that will last more than a few practice days instead of a few batteries. I guess Im looking for the hardest compound barcode that they make.
Thanks!

Posted this on the JConcepts thread also. Any help, guidance?

What are you guys using to clean the kit? I use pledge or wd 40 with a brush. Looks brand new after done. then if I want I spray silicone spray on the plastic.

I use wd40 and a tooth brush or one of the upgrade brushes to clean it up after each run.

Those are the kinds of people at your track that you play nice with!
Yup a fresh ride is a good ride! I've been through 9 B4's 8 T4's 4 B44's and 3 SC10's. Not to mention my kyosho rides when i ran for them for a season. I sell them off cheap and get new. It helps an average guy get a great car for a good deal!

I usually just give them to a novice kid that doesnt have good enough equipment to keep up with the rest of the novice field. Gotta keep the young kids involved..They are the Future of the sport!

Well, I am completely confused now. I called Proline today and asked them if the Bulldog B4.1 was the body that Cavo won the worlds with? The dude told me "no". I then asked if the same body will fit the 8mm longer chassis's? Again he said "no". I then asked if they have one that is for the new chassis mod, and you guessed it...NO. WTF is going on? Did people on this very forum tell me that their Bulldog B4.1 body's fit the chassis's perfectly? HELP !

Bill,

At the nats Cav was running a slightly updated Bulldog body that was stretched a bit and had a few other tweeks. On my +8mm car I have a Bulldog 4.1 on it and it fits (barely). The Bulldog 4.1 should work fine for you now and i'm guessing Proline will release an updated body in the future.

Again, hate to agree with Cherry.......but he makes Cents! If you run as much as Cherry, it's easier to get a new vehicle and sell off the old one than go through and replace sloppy parts. If you haven't noticed that's where the companies make there money not new kits.
