Does that equate to a lot of steering or little steering. Honest question. I don't know how a plow drives.

Low speed tracks here so less steering. If you were on a really fast track, I could see them working because they wouldn't fold or collapse. I really noticed it alot more when I started running 17.5 a couple weekends ago. Setup is soooo much more critical because you can't lose corner speed.

You can run the c-hub without a shaved u brace. The c-hub instructions recommend the shaved hub for more advanced drivers. The effect, without the u brace shaved, is a very low rear roll center. The rear of the car will feel really planted, especially longer sweepers. However, I felt the car didn't "square up" easily out of hairpins. As a result the car (rear) would kind of "waddle" back and forth when i got out of the racing line.
Honestly, prefer the a-tower for most situations. Experiment with the different towers, brace heights and ball stud washers. You'll learn a lot! |
Just wanted to check if anyone has ever experimented much with the #3 piston in the front with the V2 shocks. I've seen some setups with them in the rear but never the front. Just curious as I'm looking for a bit more damping in the front on my track. It has a lot of fairly big jumps with 1 ripple section. Currently I have 35wt front with #2 pistons and 3 limiters.
Any information would be great :) |

Any information would be great :) Its funny, but small changes in ride height make big differances in how a vehicle lands. Maybe ride height is the issue. I check mine often. |
Anybody got a good carpet track set up? My local track just went carpet. I have a B4.1 WC buggy with out big bore shocks. Any help would be appreciated.

I dont claim to be a shock expert. But..... Are you sure you aren't over packing the front with 35wt, #2 pistons and a 1550 gram buggy? Even on tracks with poor jump construction and lots of chassis slap, i never ran over 32.5 wt on #2 pistons.

Yeah number 3 piston up front with 50wt AE oil works good for GCRC :lol::lol:

I initially thought the same thing but got my best lap times so far on my track. I want to try 32.5 shortly as I did find the car appeared to possibly be a little to stiff in the front which feels like its making the car push slightly. With recent changes like rear oil and piston and rear toe block, I managed to get a faster lap time again and this also helped with steering (more steering and slightly less stability in the rear but still enough for me.
