Sounds like a lose lose situation

+1 I have tried several stainless screws. they tend to be softer. They are just a look thing. The kit screws seem pretty strong.

Default Motor Guard?

Are there any motor guards available that provide more protection for our brushless motors? E.G., one that extends further to the left, when looking at the rear of the buggy, to protect the sensor cable area?

Thanks,
JB

Best you can do is zipp tie the sensor wire to the motor leads.

Definitely do that; it is well protected (to a point). I was just wondering if there was a bigger motor guard. The TLR 22 seems to have a very generous one and I was hoping there was one in a similar design for the B4 family.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
Unmarked rear arm mounts/blocks are 3 degrees. All FT kits should come with a range of these from 2.5-4 with 1 and 2 degree shims.

Outboard toe done with an aluminum rear hub is somewhat different, as it allows your wheelbase to stay the same while running more toe.

You use stainless for corrosion resistance, not strength.

Any Ti hardware you can afford is only marginally less prone to bending than stainless, too. Ti is good for some situations, but none I can think of that occur in RC vehicles that would not be better served with a strong steel screw.

None make it that far. Zip tie the sensor cable to a motor wire to protect it more. The SC10 motor guard provides marginally more protection on the left, but not enough to protect your sensor wire.

You can tab a little Shoe Goo over the plug & wire..

Will be very strong and never come loose ...

I haven't seen many of them around, but the ones I have seen haven't really impressed me too much. What problems are you having with it?

I've seen way too many people break off shock mounting screws that were stainless. For looks, yeah they are neat.... Functionality big fail for shock mounting. I can see them being used for bulkheads, servo mounts, But a big no no on anything to do with shocks since it's the most stressed areas of the car.

The wing mount itself has been very durable, my driving has tested its limits! The only issue is the wing doesn't have the play to move around during crash so it takes more abuse. My reposnse to this has been the LMR Electra wing. Its much more durable than any other wing on the market.
