I think you got the limited edition starter kit, you just supply the rest.

Thinking of switching to Associated. Is there that big of a difference between the B4 and the B4.1 to warrent spending the extra money instead of buying a used B4?

Yes, well worth the extra. The B4.1 is a much more refined car than the B4. Factory Team version is that much better yet.

I got all mine put together minus the shocks, will do that in the morning. I will say everything went together pretty smooth, only 2 things frustrated me; the long bolt that goes through the steering rack was cut too big and would not fit through any of the 4 bearings. Luckily, I had a spare steering rack in my spares box. The other thing is the 81t spur gear was warped quite badly, about a good quarter inch. Again, luckily I had another. Other than that, glad to see some beefier parts, and better fitting parts as well. Good job AE!

Will be racing it this weekend. I'll keep posted.

I am planning on picking up a kit in the next day or so, but I am a little concerned with all the missing parts some users are having. This will be my first 1/10 elec and don't have any extra's laying around. Should I wait until AE sorts this out or is this a normal thing to deal with.

AE is usually pretty good with replacing missing parts if you don't mind waiting a few days for shipping. It's really hit or miss, 5 years from now you could buy a kit and have missing parts. I will say, personally, with all the extra tuning pieces they give, I would gladly wait the couple days! Lol. They pretty much give you everything except anti roll bars and inline axels!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Its a great kit, the parts quality is awesome and its tried and true design.
