did you use the thicker 5-40 screws or the 4-40 screws?

I run a shorty lipo with the ballast weight and just enough to balance the chassis R/L. Car handles great. I just need to learn to drive it harder and faster.

No weight in the front to keep the front end down under hard acceleration and for tighter steering?

yeah, I am wondering how much of what I need is due to the shocks/spring. My track is outdoors and currently being altered by rain. I wonder if the bb springs/shocks and the +8 from the worlds would help me out. I might be picking up a WC to replace my b4/4.1FT.

For those of you that are more rctech selling savy than me. What do you think i could fetch for a b4 Ft with some 4.1 upgrades? like the tranny, slipper, motor plate, rear hubs and rear tower upgraded to 4.1 parts? Car is in good shape. Nothing broken or leaky. I will need to sell mine once i get the WC.

ok, sounds about what I was looking to get. I have a team edition b4 I will be selling also. Hoping to get $50 for it. lol. I have a hard time parting with my cars. Well the ones I build, the used ones always easy to part with, lol.

I am also going to buy a 22 and compare the two cars. Maight even try the losi shock on the b4 see how I like it. Then probably sell the 22, unless it blows my socks off. Which only 1 losi ever did, my beloved matt Francis xxxt. Man that truck drove well.

i got the cougar sv2 which is an amazing car but don't make my mistake, just keep your b4.1....I miss how fast and forgiving it was and how I could always know exactly how it was reacting..

my sv2 is great, prob one of the best built cars out....but the b4.1 is still the best to me, I was more consistent and finished better with my b4.1...
It is just what I started off of and ik how to use one...not like a pro but I do alright.

You can use an sc10 rtr strap by shortening it at the rear.

I run a TLR22 and I found a decent set up, but I just can't get it to hook up coming out of a corner...apply any throttle and it will break loose, getting on the throttle really easy is very doable, but not very fast as the B4's would just eat me up. So I sold my back up buggy and decided to give the AE a chance.

This Sunday will be my first race with an AE buggy since my original RC-10

4.1 pro's

* great steering

* rear end planted

* good parts prices

* Better bang for your buck out of box

B4.1 cons

* CHEAP parts quality

* screws back out even when thread lock used (lost tranny screws first time out)

* everything got sloppy after a couple of battery packs

22 pro's

* VERY durable

* drive train quiet

* parts last forever

22 cons

* rear end steps out if traction isn't sedan like

* expensive parts

* stock screws are TERRIBLE

* lacking on what you get out of box compared to the B4.1

I hear talks of guys fitting the Losi shocks on a B4 but have yet to see a pic of one with them on. I know the Kyosho shocks fit but do the Losi BB bolt up?
