Well...when ip addresses match it makes connecting the dots a lot easier.

It is all good though because who believes everything they read on the internet?
I don't think that can be correct with the volume they have to deal with. Accounting, warehouse, support, r&d and etc. But I was curious when I googled Lundsford and found out they have 3 employees according to state records.

I know rcracer27mx personally as well as many others on here and he is not the same guy as "chindex". They have the same ip address because "chindex" is his idiot brother trying to make fun and start stuff. Look at rcracers post history and what knowledge he presents in his posts, and then look at chindex posts, a lot different and you can clearly tell they are not the same guy.

How do you break the rear arms? I think mine are like 5 years old? Bulkhead? With the alum pin brace, not sure how you will break that. The parts I wear out or break the most are U Brace, front arms and ball studs. I often bend the rear ball studs. If your not using RPM ball cups, might get spares of those.

Thanks! I guess that means I did a good job since that is exactly the inspiration for the paint job.

nooB here. What is a U brace? Are the RPM ball cups really any good? I'm not a big fan of their marshmallow type products, but, not closed to them if they are a benefit.

What i've seen as wear/breakage areas are:
ball cup (stocks are fine, but I will be replacing w/ rpm)
front bumper/skid
full set of arms
rear u-brace (especially if shaved, unless you get aluminum)
cva rebuild kit (bones & out drives wear also, but not as fast)
slipper pad set
pinion & spur wear will be directly dictated by how you set the mesh, if your good you dont need extras
b-fast diff
idler & diff gear
shock ends & balls
shock tower spacer/bushing (if anyone knows how to reduce the wear on these, PLEASE! let me know)
shock oil (25wt to 35wt in 2.5wt increments)

In my opinion the RPM cups are very good. They are so strong, I bend titanium before they pop off. The U Brace is the U shaped brace that your rear inner ball studs reside on. I use the RPM cups, because I hate DNF race results.

u brace is the piece that goes under the rear shock tower that the rear upper suspension balls screw into. I have not used the RPM cups on my b4.1 (yet, but it will happen) but I have on other cars & yes they are that good.

lol, You have a complete diff, idler and top shaft in there. Do you really break those, lol. I agree on the shock oils, if you are racing and tuning the car. The slipper pads will last a while if you maintain them. I used 800 grit sand paper to remove the glazing from mine. What is a shock tower spacer bushing? I took me 2 years to wear out the stock bumper, but a lot of people do like the rpm bumper. I didnt get it because it sticks out too far for me.

no top shaft listed here! but, yeah, as cheap as they are an idler & diff gear are, they are good CHEAP insurance for finishing a day. The diff & slipper are items that are very durable for a seasoned vet that really knows what he's doing & doesnt wreck enough to break an arm in 5 years (see people like maifield, tebo, etc...). For the rest of us, setting either the diff or the slipper slight off once & not catching it immediately can destroy the entire system.

Also, I have a biased oppinion of the durability of rc cars. I am not that good & wreck fairly often (a wing will typically last 4-5 track days). To make matters worse, I have 2 sons that race (9 & 12 years old) who have the ability to break the oddest stuff (the young one broke a hinge pin WITH OUT breaking the arm?!?!?!?!) on a shockingly regular basis.

My reference to the shock tower spacer is the plastic/aluminum piece that the top of the shock attaches to on the tower. even the aluminum ones wear amazingly fast. Any suggest on a way to slow that wear would be greatly appreciated.

I don't typically carry spares, as almost everyone stocks them. I keep front arms and caster blocks, primarily due to wear. That said, I'd hate to end up at a big event and be without.

The only other part I've ever broken on a B4 was a rear shock tower. Took a hit in the air and landed upside down.

I run the bumper, never seemed to have issues with it sticking out, but if I ever smack into the face of a jump, I'm sure glad it's there...

I used to use 400 grit to redo my slipper pads, then I had a sheet of 80 lying around and used that.. I like the way they work using the coarser sandpaper..

I've broken almost everything, but not any part of the upper shock mount/bushing assembly.. I'm concerned that maybe it's not installed correctly? I don't believe this is a wear item. Although, even as bad as I am, I don't break a wing every few days either. And the kids are too young to play with my car... maybe when they turn 16...

Everyone keeps talking about their lhs stocking what they need & not wanting to buy something if the lhs doesn't stock parts. That must be SO NICE. My lhs has to order virtually every part I need for my b4.1 & any of the Losi parts Ive gotten for my agama. To make matters worse, they can't even order agama parts. Neither of the tracks I run @ have shops. If you break something, you better have the spare or your done for the day. This should also shed some light on why I recommended having the idler & diff gear as spares .
