Also what is the mod I remember reading a little bit about on shaving the U-brace? What does it help and where do I shave it, anyone have pics? Thanks
Hope this helps. Shave the U-brace where the inner turnbuckle holes are, flush with the brace. I used a bench grinder to get it close then a nail file to finnish. Careful not to get the tranny mounts!! I did this to a mildly upgraded B4.1RTR, made the car more stable in the turns and easier for me to drive it, this one was all over the place no matter what I did to it!. I have only tried this setup on clay so not sure if it's a plus on dirt yet? Hopefully I'll find out this weekend.

Hey guys, what is a good setup for indoor smooth clay with high bite that is easy to drive and not too aggressive? I have what the fast guys at my track run but the car is way too aggressive for me and they dnt run there enough during the week to help me seriously just only on race days and by then it is show time and I'm running a car that is kinda hard to drive whne I'm really trying to be consitenly fast

Is the rear end coming around too fast when you are off throttle? If so taking away grip from the front will help. Use the dual rate on your radio to tone down the steering. Stiffer front springs makes your steering quick when going slow but will slow down your weight transfer to the front when you are coming in to turns faster, giving you a little push, but this should take away some of the rear end swap. Going with softer springs all around in general should slow the whole car down if you are looking to calm it down in all sections. Also you may try running at 25mm ride height instead of 24mm to get more grip and settle the car more in bumpy sections.

I've made a few changes to the car like go from losi silver fronts to losi orange and moving the front shock tower pos from iner to middle and lowerd my ride height from 24 to 23 due to carrying more speed thru the sweeper and trying to minimize traction roll possibilities even with old slicks and firm foams in em. I've turned my steering expo to
-15 and I cnt really tell that much of a diff with the expo tho. Idk mayb it is just transitioning from sc to buggy cause I drive my sc well and inconsistent withh my buggy. The only time I drive the buggy well is if I drive slow and I know slow is fast but at my track slow finishes at best in the back our fast guy are fast as hell if ya know what I mean. I take they advice and it helps but it sucks when u drive clean and smooth but not confident enough to drive your car to the cars capability. I drive my sc like a bat outta hell n cnt do tha with my buggy. I wnt the buggy to b easier to drive, ya know

I ran mine with the red avids both front and rear on the carpet track last night and it was hooked up very well. I do feel that they would be to stiff for dirt racing and use the yellow fronts and white rears and that seems to work best for me.

How often do you guys change your shock oil? Taking into consideration big races, practices and just club races.

This weekend was my first weekend racing my B4.1 Worlds. I have a couple issues that I'm sure are easy fixes.

Setup - Tekin RS Pro, Tekin 13.5, Avid Springs (Red) with not much preload at all, Savox 1258, Avid Carbon Fiber Rear Hub Tower (middle/bottom location), Avid Steering rack, Shocks 30 front/25 rear

Track - Hard pack with some dust, parts rough and parts smooth

Problem 1. I'm having lots of push even at slower speeds. I'm having to use my brakes to swing the back end around on slower turns. Is this just normal for these buggies? I've only ever driven 4x4 Short Course.

Problem 2. 2 out of the 4 races my servo arm connecting ball cup popped off. Any better options as far as parts go? A pretty hard chassis slap caused the first one I believe which could be part of the issue.

Loved racing this buggy and can't wait to figure out my issues and go kick butt!

I'm sure you'll hear more from smarter racers than I but your issues sound the same as mine first weekend out. I yanked one of the washers out from under the front ballstuds on the tower side. Also, I added some weight up front. 7 grams under the front brace and 7 on each side of the servo
