I have a concern about up-travel on my SC-R. When the suspension is fully compressed, the chassis can't touch the ground. Is it the same for you too?

I had the problem with the front suspension but solved it by using short shock ball ends. However on the rear, I am already using short shock ball ends and top. I know this is not good for bump handling as well as durability, as the suspension takes most of the landing forces instead of the chassis. In fact, maybe this is why so many of us are breaking wheel axes.

My car started its life as a RTR, I upgraded it to almost full SC-R SP specs : big bores, tranny, ball diff, turnbuckes, alloy suspension holders, etc. Are the non-RTR towers any different?

I just checked mine and the chassis bottoms out but I have my rear eyelets unscrewed at least 1 turn.

Thanks for checking that for me. Unscrewing shock eyelets don't change uptravel (unless the shock shaft is bottoming on the shock cap!).

I think that my issues come from running thick antisquat shims under both rear arm holders. Running on high-grip astro, I want a high roll center but this might be hindering uptravel too much.
I will play with the links instead.

AFAIK
You only got 2 choices for gears.
VZW424 Precision cut steel gears -$$$$$
UM610 Differential Bevel Gear Set- much cheaper.

I just want to put this out there...

I have a SC-R SP I would like to sell. I will be posting a thread in the for sale section tomorrow after I clean the truck up. I am looking for $200 shipped. It has a few tires and spares. Reasonable offers will be considered. I have 2 RB5 SP2/WC rollers as well and combo deals can be worked out.

Will the JConcepts Hi-Flow body fit this truck? Also, I assume SC10 wheels don't fit this truck.

Well, that didn't take long. I didn't even get to cleaning it up before it sold.

Yeah the hi flow will fit. Just use the holes marked for the Slash. and no, SC10 wheels won't work. You can use any wheel that fits the Blitz or 2wd Slash rear or 4wd Slash.

Is the SC-R SP and SC RTR based on the same platform? I have been wanting to get away from my SC10, but want to have a minimal investment until the new K truck is released.

If they are the same platforms, what are the major upgrades on the SC-R SP besides the velvet shocks?

The shocks and a ball diff are the 2 big items.
