Solder that bitch up and let us know how it runs!

Out of all the people that actually have these motors in hand nobody has posted any type of a review yet!

I don't blame them. As long as batteries were charged I wouldn't put down my radio long enough to type a review either after using one of these motors.

Yup, I ran mine on a track about 12,000 sq ft and was coming off after a 8 minute main at 165 all day long. It was about 90 degrees out. I was running an 17t on my Ofna Hyper 10 and I think it could have pulled more!

17t pinion's pretty big, I'm sure if he was running a 15T it would have been much lower.

I'm fine with 165. It was a huge 1/8 track and we were getting after it for 8 minutes. I has one of if the the fastest trucks on the track and I was trying to push the motor. I'm sure I didn't need the 17t but it was fast!

Randy, or anybody else from Tekin for that matter... Do you have an estimate on when the 6.5 will be available?

Let my buddy run my SC4X 4.5 tonight since I couldn't make it to the track. No difference in speed, torque, temps, or runtime over the Novak 4.5 550 is what he reported. Felt exactly the same in all regards. Disappointing........I was expecting a little bit more of SOMETHING

At least it has a better front bearing..... I could have saved 75$ though just buying one for the novak

Interesting... Well there's one review so far. Let's hear some more!

I'm not really interested in more power over the 550 counterparts I'm looking for a motor that runs smoother.

What ESC was he running?

We all run MMP's. Smoothness is not an issue we ever had with the Novaks, they are plenty smooth IMO.

I should have mine on Wednesday. I am going to take it all apart and see what the insides look like then mount and solder her up then out to the track to practice.

I've been running a Slash 4x4 since last winter till now. The set-up is a MMP with another brand 4.5 brushless motor running on a two cell lipo. I’m also running the MMP with zero timing at start with a little ramp of timing on top with a 14/54 gearing. Also nothing is turned down in the way of power limiting. This set-up I always run has very smooth power, lots of torque, and excellent speed. After running the Tekin on the MMP with the same set up as my older motor. I decided to let another excellent driver run my old 4.5 with my old set up on his Slash 4x4. This was going to be a good test to see the true difference between the two. He ended up running me pretty hard all day long. But he had to leave before the main event giving me the motor back. To see the true difference after running the Tekin 4.5 all day long I put the old 4.5 motor back in for the main event. From what I felt the Tekin wasn't as smooth, responsive, or fast as the old unit which lap times also showed. At this point I wasn't very excited other than having a cool red looking motor. The Tekin was running about a 140 to 150 all day long with no problems but just didn't have the torque, speed, or the biggest thing smoothness of my older unit. I will try some other things with it the next time out. This is just what I’ve found out at this point in time. I've not had any problems with any of Tekin RX8's (new cases) or 1900 and 2050 Tekin 8th scale motors. At this point the service or quality of the Tekin stuff has been top notch in my book.
