Yes sir, closed up. It was a nice track, but he really didnt promote it. You run electric only at your place?

Electric and nitro. We have a big field out behind our place where a friend of mine runs his baja. The track is best suited for 1/10 but works for 1/8 as well...a little tight, so you can't get wide open for very long. A lightening lap is 21-22 seconds.

I put a 44t Kyosho spur in mine without and modification. I ran it with a 19t pinion for several months without any problems. They're much wider than the stock steel spurs and even after two months looked real good. I finally stripped it during a race but it was my fault for not checking the motor mount screws.

You didn't have to mod the diff shell to fit the spur gear properly?

No, I just bolted it on. After it was installed it turns freely without rubbing on the mount. Like I said b4 I ran it for about 2 months, it worked fine and was quieter than the stock spur.

Hi Jerry! thanks for the input.. but 1 thing to clarify.. the meshing of the plastic spur should not have as much free play as the normal metal spur? or is it similar free play as well? i run it a little loose.. when i use my 17T pinon, i shift the motor mount the the most outside position..

And secondly, any1 has any idea if the D8 Hi Flow body from Jconcepts work for the Vorza??

Default Which motor?

I ordered a Tekno chassis kit and it should be here today or tomorrow at the latest. I think I have enough parts to put it together and still have a running Vorza. The problem is which motor to put in the Tekno kit. It's going to be strictly for racing. I have three motors that would work, A Castle 1800, 2650 and of course the 2200 that's in the Vorza. I think the 2200 has a bit more power than I really need for racing. The 2650 on 4s runs a tad on the warm side. I think it would be better on 3s. The 1800 has a nice smooth power band and runs cool enough in 4s. So which one would YOU use? The track I race on is big, it's 120'x100'. Long straight and big jumps that don't have much run up room.

Thanks for the imput!

from my knowledge, quite a few ppl here in Singapore runs 1900kv or 2000kv 4s configuration. personally, i'd stick to 2200kv as the vorza's internal gear ratio is abit smaller than other cars.. stick to the 2200kv and use a higher T pinon and lower T spur..

The 2200kv from the vorza won't fit because of the extra large fins on the can. Run the 1800kv...I am pretty sure it would fit. Plus most guys racing are running motors in the 1700kv - 1900kv range.

+1, the cc motors fit perfectly, and very securely. you use all four mounting holes, its a very nice motor mount.

Mod 1 gears are so large I don't like to run them too tight. I set the mesh on the metal and plastic spurs the same. It's hard to do with the Vorza motor mount but I like to set the mesh by sound. I run the motor at a low rpm then push the motor towards the spur until it gets loud, then I back it off to the point it gets quiet. It some practice to get it right. I don't know if that Jconepts body fits or not.
