I put alot of time and work into my stuff, and it's nice to post stuff on here and have people intelligent enough to recognize what they are looking at. That is kinda the problem with my stuff, it is so trick and perfect, that if you don't know what it is, you have no idea that I didn't just buy it off the shelf. I think the vast majority of people on here fall into that category. I don't know maybe it is just me, but if I see someone post up their car and it has custom parts that look like they should be there, I give mad props. On the other hand if they make a part and it is held on with wood screws and tape, I might be inclined to poke fun.
You're an ego-idiot. Enjoy that.

You would want to get the Losi Cups: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Cup-Set-TLR-22

And Traxxas Upper Retainers: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rs-Upper-Lower (I am pretty sure these are the correct retainers, I couldn't find the posting by Brent with the part #'s. Can someone confirm this is the right part please?)

The springs most like the AE green springs, IMO, would be the Losi Yellow BB springs: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Yellow-TLR-22

As far as what would match the front blue springs, I am not sure. Here is a listing of all the Losi BB springs/part #'s and their rates:

Rear: For SC10/T4/B4
TLR5165 GREY 1.6
TLR5166 WHITE 1.8
TLR5167 YELLOW 2
TLR5168 PINK 2.3
TLR5169 RED 2.6
TLR5170 ORANGE 2.9
TLR5171 SILVER 3.4

Front: For SC10/T4
TLR5178 PINK 2.3
TLR5179 RED 2.5
TLR5180 ORANGE 2.9
TLR5181 SILVER 3.2
TLR5182 GREEN 3.5

This should be all of the info you need. However, I doubt you will be able to just go to your LHS and do the conversion, b/c those Losi cups have been out of stock for a while nearly everywhere. But if you luck out and your shop happens to have some extra's left in stock... you should be good to go. Ohh, and yes, I believe you can use some of the rear springs on the front of your SC10. I currently am running pink bb springs on the rear, and silver rears on the front. Hope this all helps

Suffice to say I have three Jconcepts serrated wheel nuts for my SC10 4x4 because I lost one forever the first time I ran it.

I use CustomWorks 8-32 half height aluminum nylocks on my SC10 2w.
I actually have not tried them on my SC10 (haven't touched it since last year) but they were really locked down on my B4/B44 TLR 22 rear wheels. I had to borrow someone's Trinity nut driver which offers a bit more grip than my FT Green nut driver just to get them off.

The sc10rs has decent electronics, but it depends on what your nephew wants to do with the truck. If it's for bashing, perfectly fine w/stock electronics. If he wants to start racing, then he'll want to replace the servo. It only has about 40oz/inch of torque & 0.24sec/60degr turn. So, not ideal for racing. Receiver/controller is okay, but doesn't have any of the more advanced controls, such as adjusting throttle exponential. The rest of the electronics are okay for racing, and definitely fine for bashing. Motor is actually decent. It's 3300kv, so about 13.5t sensorless. It's got a decent amount of torque. ESC is okay also.

Hope this helps,

Oh, I agree! I have to shove the 2.5mm allen into the end of my nut driver to get them off my 4w - but you really have to bear down on them to get them to stay on. If you just tighten them up snug like you would on a nylock, they vibrate off.

If I tighten the front wheels down on my SC10 2w like I do the fronts of my SC10 4w, I doubt the front tires would ever turn again.

Yeah I use the term "work" very loosely. I can't remember the last time I actually earned a pay check. Lol.

I have an idea. Lets play the "post pictures of our SC10's and see who's is most trick" game. Do I have any takers?
