My friend has an rtr SC10 and sometimes the dogbone pops out of the outdrives, if that is what you call them, without the turnbuckles popping off. So this is what it looks like, he pulled the car off of the track and there was no dogbone but everything was still connected. This has happened a couple of times. I am not familiar with SC, see sig, so what could be the problem?

Wrong dog bone? Maybe from a different car. It might be to short. OR his suspension is traveling to far up or down, causing it to pop out

there should be an o-ring in the out drive and in the axle. i dont know if they are missing it would cause it to pop out but maybe,

He has the right ones, at least the package said SC10, so I would assume they were made for the SC10.

I'm not sure if he has the o-rings, but I will ask him, thanks.

You might want to double check the down travel limiters in the shocks. If he rebuilt them without them that would cause a little bit of extra travel that could lead to the dog-bone popping out.

Ft kit comes with pin rear/old style bearing in the wheel fronts. Tires are NOT glued. I don't run hexes so can't help ya with that.

Hey guys,

I got the rear swaybar to test out on my SC10, and I have aftermarket RPM a-arms on it that don't have the ball joint on it. Does anyone know how long of a ball stuff I should get that won't protrude through the RPM a-arms, by chance? Drill bit diameter to use in the a-arm?

Chris

get the Jconcepts 12mm rear hex. They are awesome. Way better than the factory plastic ones.

Your 4x4 rims will fit the rear only than. If you want to convert the front. Run the SC10 RS steering blocks and axles.

Pin rears and bearing fronts. I use the proline hex adapters for the front and rear. U can use the 4x4 wheels.

Sweet thanks guys
ya ill keep front alone and just get hexes on back to run my tires I have ..
Any good choices for front ? Proline rib style or barcode style ?
For smooth dirt, some dust track ..

so i'm thinking about taking the grease out of my diff and putting in 3000 wt oil instead. or should i go more. the track is clay with plenty of traction.

You should get rid of the grease for sure and I would run 5k or 7k diff oil unless your local track is super/super loose. With plenty traction the thicker the oil the better it gets off corners. Good Luck!

Buy the Factory Team kit and use your old truck for spare parts.

Or, save your $$, clean the dust off your RTR and get a good set of tires. As far as ESC & motors go I am a big Tekin fan. A good set of tires and some good driving skills are all you need my friend. Spend the rest of that $$ on race fees or take your lady out to a movie.
