What is the point of a 400 page thread? Is it frowned upon to start new ones? (I'm new, just curious) I've seen some threads on this forum with more than 400 pages, too. There's no way I could ever catch up!

Try it and find out:sneaky: Many would rather you ask your questions in an established thread even if they've been asked before. We don't need 20 threads asking the same thing over and over. You'll also get more traffic in a vehicle specific thread. New threads on the same subject tend to die off.

Does anyone know what size the small bearings are that come with the AKA 1/8 Wheel Adaptors for the front of the SC10?

3/16 X 5/16 X 1/8

What is a good gearing setup for the RTR electronics in my SC10?

Just finished running my new FT SC10 at a local track and this car is a blast to drive. I noticed I was getting a lot of dirt in the battery tray. I believe it's from the 2 small holes in the center of the battery tray on the bottom of the chassis. Has anyone ever sealed those 2 holes up? Not really sure what they are used for.

It's not coming in through those holes, it's coming in from the top. Run an over tray if the dirt is an issue for you.

I have an overtray. Plus the dirt is under the battery so I'm pretty sure it is coming from those 2 holes.

If the dirt is bothering you that much, just tape over the channel that runs under the battery. That should keep the dirt from getting into the battery box.

I need a bit of help with setup for the reconditioned surface at my track and new equipment I'm running.

Last year my track only allowed box stock ESC's and engines, and we were running through the winter outdoors on a track worn down to mostly clay.

The rules have changed this year allowing 17.5 to run with the RTR group as well.

I am currently running a LRP SPX ESC, Novak 17.5 Ballistic, and 30C 5000mah 2 cell lipo. My truck setup is relatively stock, just changed the shock oils for the winter... might have been part of of the problem 40 front, 35 rear. Running Proline calibers in the rear and stock RTR's up front. I also have 1 degree negative camber on the rear. I also have 21 grams of weight up front, and tried several battery positions with the rear most being the best.

My issue is, coming out of every turn last night, I was spinning out. The track is a mix between top soil and looser sandy clay, but I was spinning on mostly the areas with looser top soil.

One issue I had was throttle response (everything all at once, which I was working on last night and need some track time to figure out). Besides that, I need help on setup. I probably need more weight in the back (whats the best way to do this, I have flat sticky weights, but with the stock RTR battery strap modded I still have issues getting my lipo in. I think 1 degree hubs might help as well and maybe a sway bar. Oil setup in the shocks could probably be a little softer.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

oh, ok. just tape over them, it's not gonna hurt anything.

I'm no expert but, you should get the carbon battery strap and scrap the
stock strap. This allows for more movement of the battery. I run 3 ounces
all the way back with small piece of foam and battery all the way up front.
Seems to balance out the truck nicely. Gives me better traction for the
rear. With as much power as these things give now, adding weight doesn't
effect speed at all. I was having the same issue as you and this helped
alot. The one thing I tried was to run lighter weight oil and springs in the
rear to give me more traction. For my track, this did not work well at all.
Truck would nose dive badly over jumps! Going back to stock setup as far as
oil and springs go!
