Good point. I need to pick up about 5 tenths of a seconds to match the top driver in our series. I bet I could sell my SC10 for a good price too. We had a stock kit for sale last week for $110 with tires and body. I would sell just the roller.

Someone at the track would pick your roller up. We have good luck selling stuff at the track :)

You've shown me that Matt. If I do it I will get the new kit and use some of the parts to sell with the old kit. I don't like black wheels so I would install the black wheels without rubber on the old chassis. I would keep my FT Ballast weight and STRC rear bulkhead. I would most likely keep my STRC 1* rear hubs too. I could add my spare CVD Bones and replace some arms to make it nice enough. What price would be good? Do you think $150 is good enough?

Whats needed to convert a SC!) to a T4 ? just the chassis?

Well it's more than the chassis plate. There are lists on this thread and on other forums. The short list is:

1) Chassis plate w/ nurf bars
2) Battery hold done
3) Front tower - if they haven't communized yet
4) Body mounts
5) Front and rear bumpers
6) Rear tower - if they haven't communized yet
7) Front Spindles
8) Tires,wheels, and body
9) Misc. Screws

I got most of my stuff on e-bay last year to convert. It would be much better just to get the SC10 FT kit today. The only difference after all the above is the transmission case is not common between the T4 and the SC10.

I would keep it for $25. Come on what is a good price for a 1 year old SC10 FT roller with wheels? Some of the parts are newer of coarse and I would install all new arms. I know it has version 1 shocks but it has nearly everthing else from the true FT version.

Where's the best place to buy the SC10 FT Kit new?

Krio 01-10-2011 07:44 PM

Depends on how much extra stuff you include with it. If I were to sell a just a roller like that I'd expect around $125. Unfortunately, unlike Tekin speed controls, used AE cars don't really hold their resale value.

Matt at Proline has said their new conversion should be out either this week or next. Stay tuned to Prolineracing.com.

will do thanks
it would be easier if hexes would be all around

I also converted my FT T4 to a SC10 and the rear t plate does not fit the sc10, you have to use the FT rear T plate
the front shocks are longer in the T4 so a spacer can be used inside the shock to limit travel
front shock tower dont have the holes for the bumper, can be fixed by getting rpm bumper
rear shock tower is a good fit, just make holes for the body mount to screw into

converting to sc10 buying new parts would cost about $80-100 for chassis, battery holder, body mounts, side nurf bars, body
it might be cheaper to buy a used sc10 and use the other parts for spares

I forget who made them, but someone has SC10 front wheel hexes that are machined to accept the 3/16X3/8 wheel bearings.

Cameron Kellogg 01-11-2011 05:30 PM

DE Racing makes a SC wheel that uses the 17mm hex adapters. I use this set-up my self and it works very well.
