You're overfilling the shocks.

Compress the shaft all the way into the body when you screw the cap on. Rebound is bad for an off road shock's longevity

Yeah I did wonder that and did take out oil but didnt fully compress the shock shaft that way but there was very little rebound and little resistance at bottom of stroke but will give it a go that way and see if it makes any difference..thanks.

Can anyone recommend a shock setup for indoor carpet tracks? I was thinking 35 wt and 2 hole pistons, but it still feels a little.. soft?

The shock oil seems fine with a 2 hole piston. What springs are you running? Try Red in front and Green in back. Front should have 2 .25 in spaces on either side. Rear should have a .5 in spacer on either side.

I'm running 50 wt oil and red in front with 4 inside limiters, #2 pistons and greens with 35 wt oil, #3 pistons, and no limiters in the rear
I got this setup from the fastest mod sct racer at the track

Use #2 piston all around with 45 in front and 40 in back. Gold sway bar in back with blue buggy Spring fronts in front shocks and silver rears in the rear shocks. Stock hard tires all around work good but stock soft tires in the back is better. Half degree hubs are nice but not needed. DiAled and stable at high speeds and good in corners. Use the rear anchorman position for the steering linkage.

Hmm, ok, sounds good. I'll need to get some more springs though, I currently have gold in the front, blue in the back.

Thanks guys.

Default Question about the AE SC10?

What are the best wheels to use for cometition racing for the AE SC10! The beadlocks split six or stock SC10 AE wheels?

depends on the track.. the beadlocs are HEAVIER then the stock wheels...the j-concepts wheels are about the same weight as the stockers maybe lighter?I love the goose bumps tons of traction...
