Brownie,
It's Travis E. Hows your boy liking the slash? I have the med. 1/8 foams in mine. I drove a friends that has the stock foams and his felt a little better on the loose unpreped track. I will try both tires next Tuesday at Hot Rods and let you know what i think.

kdub and/or Rick H - the stiffer tire foams appear to work better for groomed indoor tracks such as OCRC. Do you think that stiffer foams would also work better for groomed outdoor tracks such as Hot Rod and Camarillo (Freedom Park)? These tracks share time with 1/8-scale and get beat up a bit.

Hello all, this is Donn I am the senior tech support with Associated and I just wanted to give you a heads up.
I have talked to 3 people to this point with steering servo saver issues when they are building their SC10's. Well I was finally able to find out that they did not tighten down the servo saver nut enough...that would cause the servo saver assembly to be at a slight angle when installing the #9640 steering bolts in to hold the servo saver assembly to the top plate. And steering rack or portions of it would rub on the (drivers) or left side when you install to the chassis. First don't over tighten the #9610 bolt or you could strip the servo saver #9659. But make sure that you have it tighten down enough so the washer is flush with servo saver. I just wanted to let you all know! |

Anyone having Diff issues? I have talked to a few people at my LHS about a crunchy diff and they have seem to come up with a resolution just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Here are some pictures of mine. Just got it completed today and plan on running it tomorrow. Almost every part that can be factory team is.
Has FT top plate, rear chassis mount, steering assembly, turnbuckles, shocks, a-arms, caster blocks, cvds, ball differential, full ball bearings throughout, milled motor mount. The only parts that are not factory team that can be purchased now are the shock shafts, only because my LHS is out. Running a Tekin RS Pro, Novak 13.5, Reedy 5000 mah 35C, Hitec 5955 TG, Spektrum pro Sanwa Exzes Plus. Wheels are completely balanced, tires doped, crossweight 50/50, Left-Right 50/50, 35/65 Front-to-rear weight distrubution (scaled). Corr class better watch out tomorrow :D http://arcadechamp.net/radio/sc10-1.jpg http://arcadechamp.net/radio/sc10-2.jpg http://arcadechamp.net/radio/sc10-3.jpg |

No, I did not have to change the rear plate for the ball diff, it is a drop in option, however the gear diff will not fit in the standard T4 rear plate.

:nod:great looking trucks gang im about half done with mine and have had no build issues the only gripe is i think the kit screws suck other than that no complaints. my diff is pretty smooth i used ae 2000 diff oil i think if some of you are have chunky diffs just run it in some figure 8's in the drive way that will loosen a diff up. i think this little diff is pretty sweet. probley gonna dye the wheels black and just picked some aka foams up today. keep the pics comming. remember guys run corr tires only!!!!:sneaky: keep it CORR!!!!!

Got mine today! Thanks Hobbypeople! I should have it ready for our Wednesday night racing... I just need a steering servo.

Just finished building mine all that is left to do is paint the body and glue the tires. The only question is about the diff the instructions are clear as mud, as how much grease to put in, I put in a light coating on all of the gears and assembled it. It feels smooth but I don't want to trash it if its wrong. can anyone tell me if that is correct. Can't wait to race it and see how it handles. Thanks for the help in advance.

Anyone else having issues with their build?
I stripped the servo saver trying to compress the spring until the washer was flush. I couldn't get it to compress enough to even get the bolt through to bolt the assembly together. It also appears I am missing the round end pins that hold the outdrives in the diff gear assembly. Anyone else experience this? I have looked every where in the other parts bags and nothing!
Now I am at a standstill! |
