Team C also has yellow 14mm wheels , but not neon.

Another option is to buy the white wheels and dye them fluorescent yellow.

What would you do to try make this buggy as bulletproof as possible for running on large 1/8th scale tracks, apart from not crashing?

"upgrade" to dex408, also cheaper.

The basic parts listed prior, but depending on versions..

Aluminum c-hub up front, Aluminum saver arm, Aluminum horn, I'd honestly run the steel shock towers if you crash a lot, I'd swap the balls and ends on the steering to ae tc5 ball studs and losi ball cups. If you have the cheaper "r" version make sure you have ALL aluminum hinge pin holders Stock slipper setup is fine, keep it cranked down. Tires to suite your track.

Losi ball studs with Kyosho ball cups. Very tight, no slop and cheaper solution than going lunsford.

Lunsford titanium hinge pins. Set should cost you $22.00 on eBay or elsewhere.

Those two are the biggest I can think of that I've used to make the car bulletproof.

I do think that if you're running on an 8th scale track that running an 8th scale is not a bad idea. It's not necesarily cheaper though as good 8th scale electronics and batteries will run you more generally than their 10th scale counterparts. I have good saddle pack batteries that I purchased for $45.00. A good battery for an 8th scale is probably more like $100.00.

Tires are also more etc. But if I was an 8th scale track I'd consider paying for the difference as 8th scale rides are going to handle those giant jumps way better.

Good luck either way you go.

Why has nobody dropped a 2s kinda square pack say 6400mah on the market yet? Both desc and dex run the exact same pack config so a 2s pack designed for this size would get some good movement especially since nobody makes um.. this would be VERY nice if anyone reading has the ability to make change :P

most 4wd buggy uses saddle pack on two sides, with a driver shaft in the middle.
*dex410v4 probably have that kind of design as well.

I think it's hilarious that any of these designs are based on a lipo size; if one were smart they would design the lipo package around it. One or two lipo resellers would be happy to have an exclusive like that on a killer buggy or sct. Just saying... Since that isn't the case, I like the current config and would rather they not switch it to be like the 'others'

There is actually a roar rule in place to prevent just that scenario.
