that setup sounds good inferno13, I was actually running the same setup in my ten-t converted to SC and it ran great. The melt down I had was my own stupidity and no fault of the equipment. 14.8v/60-80amps shorting out will do that. I learned a hard lesson that I should have already known.

That setup/equipment will be just fine.

Built Losi 8e 2.0 over the winter, purchased Tekin RX8 combo back in october, getting ready for first race of the season this coming weekend so I decide to power everything up. When the switch is turned on, I get no sounds and only VERY VERY dimly lit leds, now when I turn the switch back off, the NW led does light for a millisecond. I have checked the battery, good, double checked all connections, good, re-updated esc via hotwire to 212, check.
Now what? I have no power going to receiver either. What could it be?????

Finally picked up an rx8 last week. Ran 2 battery packs through it and worked great. Was at the track today and first lap truck just quit. Hit throttle and it cogged bad. Picked it up and brought it back to the pits. Tried everything but nothing worked. Lights 1 2 6 7 are blinking. Hooked it up to hotwire and settings are all correct for motor selection. Tried all motor configurations but nothing worked. Hooked another motor up to the rx8 and same thing. Had to put my mmp back in to run for the day. Not too happy with switching to tekin so far. Anyone have any ideas on things to try.
Setup: scrt10, 13t pinion, stock spur, 50c thunder power lipo 2s. novak ballistic 550 4.5 motor.

Led's 12 67 faults mean either a bad motor, bad motor ABC or wire(s), or a bad set of FET's in the esc. From the sounds of it since you're running with the same motor the esc may be the cause.

i have same exact thing just the other night, i finally got it to boot up when i just hooked it up to an RX with a servo pluged in (no motor, sensor wire or fan plugged in)
i'll be hooking everything up tomorrow to see if it comes around..
maybe try another RX if you have one to try it on quick..

1900 combo
Just bought the combo brand new. Opened it up and no wires? Do the combos come with wires?

Thats not true, the combos definitely come with wire. You should have received 1 red, 1 white and 1 black. If it was missing in yours it must have been an oversight, I imagine they will correct that for you.
