I am 100% positive it's connected correctly. What's MT 7?

Here's the thing Randy, in my losi it ran fine. I took everything out of the losi and put it in the mugen. I didn't unsolder anything or change any hotwire settings. The only thing I did was to take the motor apart and put it back together. And I had to do a few things with the center diff area on the mugen. That was it!

Your mugen probably has mirrored diffs compared to the Losi. Set it for MT7 to reverse the motor direction or click Reverse Direction in the HotWire.

I figured it out. I bougt this buggy used. The guys switched both the front and rear diffs. Therefore, reversing both tires. Geez!

I am using Tekno new t traction drive. Motor direction matters there... But everything is fixed now. Thanks for all of you guys input!

Its really sweet. It's like a direct clutch. It gives you the feeling of direct drive with a little clutch slippage. The clutch shoes are always engaged. I used it over the weekend and it's sweet! It should be out soon from my understanding. Goto techno thread for more info.

My hat is off to Randy and the boys at Tekin. Got my esc in time to put it in for tomorrow's race. Even ran 4 packs through it tonight and all is well. Hands down best customer service that I have ever received. Thanks again Randy. Now if I can just pull off a decent finish tomorrow.......

Default ESC problems 1st time out

Finally ran my new RX8/2050/Ve8 combo at the track last night, but after the 4th pack, i noticed my throttle cutting off intermittently. I was able to drive it for a couple more laps and brought it in to the pits. After a half hour cool down, I plugged in a freshly charged packed and I would get throttle for a few seconds then LED's 1-3-5 go on plus the fan starts. I know this is either the LVC or thermal shutdown, but the buggy has been cooling down for 30 min. I even switched to another battery pack and it did the same thing.

The esc turns on, does it's usual starting beeps, and even has some throttle. But ultimately will cutoff and still show led 1-3-5.

Is this one of the symptoms of esc failure that everyone here keeps posting about and having to send it in to Tekin? I was hoping this did not happen to me after reading some of the posts here and have great success with my 2 RSPros. But after my 1st outing, I'm already having esc issues and I don't have a back-up on hand.

Randy/Ty/etc. what do I need to do to get this fixed?

Thanks

A few things

1. What are your temps?
2. What lipo size are you running? I had the same symptoms before and the problem was I running a 4s lipo using a 5s cutoff setup. I changed the cutoff to 4s and that fixed the problem

Hope the latter is the problem!

1 3 5 with a charged pack could be an issue with a logic circtuit. Unfortunately though if the pack is charged, and the lvc is set properly it will have to come to us for repair.

Thanks for the kind words guys, really. Everyone here at Tekin tries their best to support our customers.

You can use PC apps on a Mac using:
  • Boot Camp
  • Parallels
  • VMWare

There are a few others that are crappy or too complicated for regular users. I believe Leopard has built-in virtualization abilities, but not positive. I can't afford to own a Mac. I just tech and network them and they're BSD based so... Anyway, check those out in order.
