Top five in “A” Mains receive awards

Sunday 3 rounds of IFMAR qualifying, and Mains

2wd Buggy
27 turn ROAR legal stock and 17.5 brushless motors only (under current rules).
Radio gear "electronics" are open.
Tires/wheels are open
Li-Po batteries are allowed.

4wd Buggy
27 turn ROAR legal stock and 17.5 brushless motors only (under current rules).
Radio gear "electronics" are open.


Stadium Truck
27 turn ROAR legal stock and 17.5 brushless motors only (under current rules).
Radio gear "electronics" are open.
Tires/wheels are open (including narrow front tires)
Li-Po batteries are allowed.

Heavy Metal
All 1/10 Monster Trucks allowed, 2wd of 4wd, 2ws or 4ws
27 turn ROAR legal stock and 17.5 brushless motors only (under current rules).
Radio gear "electronics" are open.
Tires/wheels are open (including narrow front tires)
Li-Po batteries are allowed.

Classic
Limited to "non-pro" and entry level cars (Tamiya Hornet, Mauri Ninja, Royal Ripper for example)
All 1/10 Buggies, 2wd or 4wd, 2ws or 4ws allowed
27 turn ROAR legal stock and 17.5 brushless motors only (under current rules).
Radio gear "electronics" are open.
Tires/wheels are open (including narrow front tires)

This looks way cool......I have a Tamiya Falcon screaming to get on the track! May also be time to break out the old stock gold tub/6gear tranny RC10! I'm definitely going to try to find a way to make this one.

WOW - apex thanks for those awesome pics - I had all those cars in the past - the original RPS Yokomo is the car I won my first r/c race with - some twenty years ago. I will never forget those little screws on the YZ-10.

This makes me want to go on ebay - by an RC 10 team car - paint it up like "Team Moo" = if anyone other than me still remembers that.

You can get a vintage, race worthy car for less then 100 bucks. Shouldn't have a problem finding something to run!

Remember the Moo Truck? One of them (he had more then one obviously) is all shined up on a shelf in my shop and it will definitely be on display at the race!

Oh boy am I drooling now. I keep putting off a rebuild, mine's Proformance Kitted as it sits. I have everything but the damn orange wheels, I didn't save any, had the first ones that had a cracking problem. But I do have reds in the same design, and a reasonable set of 4 rows. So I'll skip the matching T-4 and put a Tekin 600 in it. I'm even going to remove the "pro diff" center bearing, I do have the correct diff gear. I've got the correct motors and batteries, 1200Rs, should run for at least 2 or 3 laps, well, if I rematch them they might! And my Futaba Magnum Jr. was the newer one at the time, bought it later, it might be a year or so newer than absolutely correct for an Original Introductory Series car.

But I do have one thing on ya, I've got the original rear shock tower with no holes. Woohoo!

Hmmmmmm. Do I pull out the JRX-T or the Blue Eagle LS2? decision, decisions I also have a javelin and a traxxas trx3 that was a prototype for Rick Vehelow (I think thats how its spelled)

If I'm not mistaken, Rick Vehlow and John Walters raced the Traxxas prototype at the '92 Team Losi Performance Florida Winter Champs.

The only thing i really know about the buggy, is there are a lot of hand made parts. Shock bodies, arms, hubs and tranny cases, I even got a tranny with a Losi hydradrive (not sure if this existed for a traxxas and may be the only one ever made) I got a hoard of parts and three chassis's, two FG stock looking ones and a Custom(from last owner Not R V) CF chassis to fit a associated B2 body. I really can't verify the RV connection, that was what the seller put in the auction.
Sorry for the hijack. I wish i could go to this race, But gas the way it is, I can't justify going to an in state race Much less going from GA to Conn.
