Some of the pics of the early Losi boxes are bringing back a lot of memories. I can't wait to see some pics of this race. Please someone who's going take lots of pictures of cars in the pits and on the track. Video on you tube would be cool too.

These were so inefficient, when I used to race one I had to modify everything except the heavy gear case
I had nylon arms and fiberglass chassis from CRP, futaba ESC, kyosho 1/8 shocks, custom made roll bar and rear tires with steel rivets glued to it, dirtburner diffs, checkpoint (1/12 or oval) motors
and then AE and Losi comes out with the rc10 and the jrx2 that was it for the tamiya super champ, it could not compete
DRRC - Never said the Super Champ would win it... Just that one make the A-Main... even as a long shot... though I doubt any are still any around to truly race! Its only in Japan where a vintage Race Class is more commonly found at Clubs and Tracks.

I have both... an ultra modified Super Champ which looks nothing like the original buggy and an Original and untouched kit. As a kid I raced it back in 83'/84 and through some of 85'... when the Gold Tub just started dominating Races everywhere. The Gold Tub then became my must have Dream RC Car for years even while I was out of the hobby...

That is some awesome viewing!
Made me feel like I was racing again back in the day.
When I had my original RC10, I remember flying it off the huge BMX jumps when it was brand new.
Bad idea.

Default I remember selling this car

I really can't verify the RV connection, that was what the seller put in the auction.
Sorry for the hijack. I wish i could go to this race, But gas the way it is, I can't justify going to an in state race Much less going from GA to Conn.
I was the one that sold you the collection of cars/parts. I know this is a very old thread, but it brought back memories reading about the old TRX-3 prototype cars I used to have.
