i've read both threads, and while i'm seeing a lot of ''tryin to find the latest most potent car in the guidelines'', others just want to dust off their old jewels and enjoy them with others. thus i must ask a question...
...this is a 3 (2 w/o practice) day event. many cars dont have huge caches of parts avail like they did when they were new. is it possible to look at being allowed multiple cars in a given class. this showcases more rides in the community, and allow guys who have more than a few rides to enjoy them. also means that if 1 ride fails that they are not out of the game. great example, i have a big brute, blackfoot, and lunchbox available to run. at this event, really what is wrong in allowing this type of option. same for some1 that has a hopper, hornet, and frog, or hotshot, t-shot, and big wig if u will.
just a thought

Definitely! The big thing with any sort of vintage racing (full size or r/c) is seeing the cars run again... its not really (at least for most) about winning. When I put this idea together I thought how cool would it be to see rc10s and jrx2's do battle again, see some hornets and blackfoots run again things like that. I understand some people what to set track record and thats fine, for me its all about the nestolgia of it all.

Here's some more stuff.
The place I raced in the late 80s was also called:
Radio Controlled Hobbies Raceway, in Costa Mesa, Ca.
They had the Reedy Invitational Race of Champions (Offroad)
and The Western Nationals.
Ran Offroad a couple nites a week
and Dirt Oval a couple nites a week
It's where Brian Kinwald sharpened his teeth
also Bob Novak raced dirt oval here as well as many others with the Dominator chain driven cars. That only scratches the surface.
Anyone remember A & L rearends, trailing arm aftermarket kits? Allec & Lane.
