That`s just the point . The graphite ones are weak and don`t hold up .

I know the 7.5 front alloy brace hasn't been available for a while--so 2 weeks ago when I broke the graphite 7.5 front I tried the alloy 5 degree I had --WOW!! Combined with the steering pivot mod the car has tons of steering now-alot more than with the 7.5 brace-it gets a bit loose sometimes but its quick that way.

This is on a pretty smooth indoor tight clay/soil track. 5 degrees is staying in the car.

Also, I have all the inner alloy braces but don't run them because guys used to say they would transmit the force to the chassis which would break in a hard hit. Have people found this to be true when running the alloy inner braces?

Where you move the ballstud from the stock position over to the other side of the steering bridge. It adds a bit of steering. You will need a longer steering turnbuckle depending on how far you move the ball stud.

FYI - the losi team guys seem to prefer the graphite mounts... over the alum ones.

I`ve chatted with a Truhe about them and some use the aluminum .

But if we all drove like a full sponsored racer , we wouldn`t need the aluminum pivots to begin with .

Actually "prefer", or just use them because that is what their sponsor sells?

No , their sponsor doesn`t sell them anymore . But they can still get them if they want unlike to the public.
