The battery trays break when you dont use velcro between the battery and the tray or use foam in front and behind the battery to keep it from sliding back and forth. I broke my first tray that way.

IMO, the Losi kit is the best for the 8 because you get a factory fit and finish. I used them both in my 8T, that I sold, and in my current 8E-1.0 and have not had 1 issue.

I am having some issues with setting up my MMM. I have no brakes, they are set at 50% on the link and when I try to dial them in on my radio it turns the brakes into reverse. I use a KO radio, I know some of KO stuff is different than some others. Any KO users have some input for me? When the brakes are at 0 there is just no brakes and when I put them to 5 it starts reverse if I push the brakes into reverse position it goes to reverse if I start to set it higher it sticks at reverse.

I understand & have that covered.

My point was that most of the guys I know who have the Losi tray in other cars have not broken them but I've seen a few broken in Losi's. Thought it would be the other way around.

Thanks Nick.
Thanks to Tom F for all his hard work on it.
The dimensions for the EL8 tray are now 170mm X 49.5 mm
Battery of choice at this time is the Turnegy 4s packs. They are very well priced and seem to be holding up really well in race conditions.
Big Greg... any input on the batteries?
LXMuff???

go into the radio and turn the TH brake and th highpoint all the way up to 150. Then go threw the setup process again with the MMM. what you are adjusting the the mid point not the brake strength. I run my brakes at 50% on the esc then about 70-90% in the radio depending on the track. Hope this helps some.

Micro that was it got it. Now another Q is there anyway I can shut the reverse off completely? I do have brakes now, you know you give throttle then brake it stops but then if you take the trigger from the brakes when the car is stopped then go back to the brakes the reverse ingages. Or is that the way it has to be?

Dan, They are awesome! I have 2 of the 4s 5000 20c And 2 5s 5000 20c, They come off luke warm after hard runs in my truggy! They are the best bang for your buck at 10$ per cell, Tom also runs the 5s 20c's in his truggy and they perform awesome, Did you ever think there would be 40$ and 50$ lipos available for our application that would hold up???
