Thank you,

Groovy fronts are designed for wet/damp tracks and Rips for dry/dusty tracks. Rips will actually have more steering as the tracks drys out and starts to take on a groove, so much so that they will get more aggressive than even a bar-style tire. Groovy's will have more steering in the damp/slimy conditions, but will get pushy as the track drys out.

Paul,
I understand that the blue compund is soft and orange compound (O2) is medium long wear, what is the regular orange (soft) compound?
Thanks

Question on mounting CARVERS? "V" to the inside or outside? Presently, I have them mounted "V" inside. I think. Kinda confused about what is a "V" on this tire. Hard for me to tell. Attaching an image.

Tire set gets interchanged between use on (this) RC10GTe (mid-motor conversion), and conventional TC10T-series back motors. Track is a 1/10-scale 1/4-mile outdoor grass track oval. How do you at JConcepts recommend mounting this tire? Truck tracks well as is and front does not slide or push in the corner.

As an aside, might a 'Swagger' be a better choice tire for outdoor turf? Grass is wide-blade St. Augustine cut to a racing height of ~1". Have a set of AE OEM with a design similar to the 'Swagger', and they hold good too.

Also have a set of 1/10 buggy 'Groovy' mounted up to test on the front of an ST. Is JConcepts considering making a set of 2.2 'Groovy's' for ST? That way, I wouldn't be faced with which way to mount them. Thanks for taking time to consider my question and thanks for any recommendations you might provide. Cheers. 'AC'

The regular orange has been discontinued, but it was a medium compound for very hot/high bite conditions before there was a such thing as long-wear compounds.

Yes, you have them mounted with the "V" to the inside. I don't have any experience on your surfaces, but on dirt/clay the tire would be less aggressive the way you have them mounted in the picture. If they are working well this direction, then I suggest sticking with it .

The Swagger was developed for turf and should be better suited for both indoor & outdoor turf; as long as you are using rear tires developed for turf as well.

Sorry, there are no plans to make a 2.2 groovy front ST tire.

What the world needs (with the resurgence of 1/10 Nitro Stadium Truck) is a nice ribbed front tire Us loamy dirt drivers want options!!

Thanks for what you do for this thread and information PW...

If there is no groove, then I would probably go with green Triple D. If the track has a groove or some rubber laid down, then green Reflex.

PW - Is there any ETA on when you're expecting 1/8 buggy green reflexes to be back in stock? Thanks!

pw-Will Jc be making rims for the 22x4? Currently there are rims that fit the 22-4 however you need to change hex sizes in the front of the car to make them fit properly.
