Which wheels and tires would you recommend for racing on a small to medium size concrete oval track that is outside? It is a smooth concrete surface and collects dust being outside so you get good traction, but still get wheel slippage when you hit the throttle hard. I am racing a Tekno SCT410.3. Thanks!

Man...I'm really not sure. Wheels are easy; the 3352 wheels with 3 color choices. If the surface is blown off or the racing line is pretty clean, then I would go with gold Octagons - Click Here or gold Dirt Webs - Click Here If it's really dusty, then you will need a treaded tire like blue Sprinters or something similar - Click Here

Any thoughts on if the current JConcepts ET410 body will fit the new ET410.2 truck with shocks forward? I can’t find a good straight-on picture of the body on the current truck, but looks like it might be tight or require trimming to clear the shocks.

Thanks for posting this. I'm currently building a 6.2 carpet car and looking for a good spot to put the fan. Question on the above fan location: I thought that if the fan was very close to the motor the motor's magnets interfere with the fan's motor and causes the fan to cut in and out. The fan should be 5mm or more away from the motor to prevent this.

Does AJ not suffer from this problem with the fan this close to the motor?

Thanks again!

We don't have one of the new trucks, but I would imagine you will need to do some trimming for the shocks.

Sorry, I don't really know the details. I think on his newer car he has the fan mounted behind the layshaft; shoe-goo'd to the chassis.

I am running a RC8B3.2e with the Reedy 6400 mah battery. I am looking for a body that will fit over the battery. Will the Strike 2 fit or do you recommend a different body? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the Strike 2 #0260 body is made for the larger 4s batteries.

As it seems, the '79 Ford SCT body #0380 has been discontinued. Are there any plans for a revamped version or something similar? Several weeks ago, I helped dial in one of Losis rubber trucks (22S SCT), and although I'd never consider that ride, I thought giving the category another try with a proper Associated truck and a focus on style might be fun...

Yes, we have tires available trackside if there is no hobby shop on site. Since Newberry RC is in a park, we will have a limited tire selection available this weekend.

I know this is probably privileged information but I'll ask anyway. Nothing against the current crop of JC bodies (I already have them all) just hoping for something new in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive buggy. Well for that matter stadium truck too. Anything in the pipe that you can talk about?

How about Monster Truck related since the question has been proposed.

We always have new things in the works, but no big changes at the moment.

Yes, we have some new MT bodies on the way
