Any eta on the B5 hub carrier ? And buggy gold dirt webs
I have a tire compound question I've been thinking about lately. Where I race during the winter, everybody uses clay compounds. The dirt is a hard packed clay that is constantly wet/tacky. The traction is great and the tire wear isn't too bad at all (when bar codes were the hot tire, I could get a half a season out of them). Currently I like to run gold dirt webs treated with zip grip II. However, I have to sauce them very aggressively to get the grip level to come up to where I need it to be competitive. So my question is this; how does the silver compound compare to a heavily treated gold compound? Could I get similar traction levels out of silver without having to sauce? |
are the jconcepts sc10.2 front steel/titanium axle hex conversions discontinued forever?...

Any plans to release bits for the Yokomo YZ-4? Fin turnbuckles, bodyshells, general bling etc?

Just wondering when the astro tires for 10th scale buggy are going to be released. Can't wait to sport them at my local track.

Recommendation for 1/8 e buggy tires for hard packed clay indoor track? I was thinking dirt webs.... thanks

Can anyone explain the difference between 1/8th 3309Y Rulux and 3311Y Rulux wheels? The 3311 says they are "Half-ups" and I installed some JConcepts half up tires on them and they fit great, while the 3309Y doesn't say half ups. I picked up some standard bead Road Rage 3.8's and want to make they will fit on the 3309Y's. Thanks beforehand

Awesome thanks. I can use them either way. I have a set of MT tires that will fit the 3.2's. The Rages were a great deal and will pick up some wheels for them later. Thanks again.

Has anyone used the HF2 Low Profile SCT body on a 4x4 chassis? If so, how did it handle? I read they're designed for the mid-motor trucks but would like a low profile type body. I've been using the Hi Flow (one size fits most) for a while, which has been great, but it's about time it gets replaced. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know it was asked in November but have you decided if JC is going to make 2.2 slicks yet.

Is it possible to fit the S2 body for the TLR 22 3.0 onto a 2.0 chassis? I like it way better than any of the options still in production for the 2.0 :)

[QUOTE=PW;14391441]I think something will happen, but it will be later in the year
Hope not. I got tired of sanding down 2.2 dirtwebs so I had to switch brands. Why not make them in Black Compound instead of Green? Greens work once you put about 30 packs through the car. |
just wanted to throw this out there.
I have a second JConcepts Titan body, standard thickness that on the first run cracked along the front window panel, basically ran to one side. It was a good hit, but my previous body took much worse, same body. Now, I don't believe its the bodies fault, I just was wondering at the time if maybe the lightweight body would have been better for the relatively cold conditions so contacted JConcepts. about it. They responded quickly and even threw in a discount coupon to boot which I wasn't looking for. Did the Drywall tape deal to repair and so far so good. Have to say that was a nice thing to do and its got me looking to give the tires a shot here because of it. Anyway, on to the tire questions. Right now, indoors I run on a track where tires like Panthers slick clays work or Proline Primes in clay work too, when sauced. However, I did find that with some cheap Proline ions in the M3 compound I could run these with good traction and no saucing needed.Others at least for 2wd buggy do basically the same with other tire styles as we are not allowed to run carpet hard pin tires. So, I figured pick up some dirt webs or brocodes, etc. in green compound and some in gold just in case with some dirt tech inserts. Do I sound like I am on the right track, especially in compound comparison? For outdoors, it can get VERY LOOSE HERE, old school dirt conditions so got blockades and step pins in the box. However, when it does dry a bit, tires like Losi's old IFMAR Pins work quite well. I am wondering if the flip outs would do the same thing? |
