Ok I am new to 1/10th electric.

I'm the Australian Distributor for JConcepts so I thought I would drive a BJ4WE but I dont know what to put in it. What would every one say is the best motor combo to pick, I guys it would be brushless but what one and then theres the battery issue :) but tires are no problem I hear there are some great tires out now .

I would probably get the most popular brand in your area. Novak/LRP seem to be by far the leaders here in the US racing scene. As for the motor, a 6.5 with a sintered rotor should be plenty for just about any track.

suzuki2903 12-21-2007 07:48 PM

is there a body you make that will fit a ofna 9.5 ?

johnkemp 12-22-2007 02:02 AM

why only go 6.5 i went 2.5 in mine

Thanks! I had a great time and am looking forward to doing it again next year!

No problem on the decals, if you ever need any, don't hesitate to ask.

A 6.5 is more than plenty of motor.

I just wanted to let you guys know that we've extended and updated our tool range. We are now offering nut drivers in both standard and metric, in addition to the hex drivers we offered previously. The hex driver handles have been lightened and the set screws have been enlarged to cope with the extra torque that some situations exert on them. We have also added a screwdriver/pic set to complete the line of tools. There are a few pics below:

Andy - any plans for a body for the Lazer ZX-5? They seem to be increasing in popularity every day.

If not, any idea if one of your B44 or BJ4 bodies will work on it?

MustGoFaster 12-26-2007 01:59 PM

The BJ4 bodies do fit the Lazer ZX-5.

Awesome.

Any idea how GOOD of a fit it is? Would I be able to continue using the velcro around the side of the chassis to hold it on or would I have to go back to posts?

From pictures it looks like the BJ4 chassis is pretty damn close in shape and size to the ZX-5 but not having one in front of me to compare directly makes it nothing more than a crap-shoot.

I used a BJ4 body while my lazer body was getting painted. It fits REALLY well. Hugs the chassis pretty much perfect.

Andy,

I have a request/suggestion.

There are a large group of us who are fans of the vintage RC10s and 10Ts. Any chance you guys could look into producing a JConcepts Vintage RC10 and RC10T body? Its hard to locate bodies for these older cars, and it might be cool to see a little modern flair on a vintage look.

I know there are a few people with vintage that are looking for replacement bodies. AE just re-released a couple of classic bodies, so you can reference the Viper and Protech bodies if needed.

Thanks for the information johnnyboy! I have no idea that they were so close.

Its hard to justify making a body for a car that hasnt been produced in so long. Even some vehicles that are still "current" part numbers can be slow sellers. If we get continual requests, or the need becomes overwhelming we may take a look at it. I would assume that you guys would be looking for the stock/copy of stock bodies?
