I almost got a set of closed cell inserts for the black compound dirt webs but I figured hey, they know what they're doing and used the open cell foams that came with them.

I'm so glad I did!

Very bumpy freshly built indoor track.
They worked perfectly for me.

I've actually found that the 2.4" jumps/lands better and feels more stable. My lap times don't seem any better, but I like the comfort feel of them. This is with 2.4" Dirt Webs/cut rear insert, on an indoor orange clay grooved track.

Cut rear insert? Anyone have a video or pic to show where he is cutting?

Here you go...

I just cut the inner step off the insert.

Great to hear you loved the new Bar Fly's and that they worked awesome, unfortunately there are no plans for them on truck at this time.

I just mounted some up today. No issues. They noticeably make the wheel/tire heavier.

2wd mod buggy.
We run slicks in the morning when the track is heavy just for the simple reason that treaded tires clog with the wet dirt and stop working. Once it dries up a shade we switch to super soft. I used the mega softs last week and they seemed to be hooked up but not enough to traction roll like the slicks wanted to. They felt really good but is it the compound hooking them up or the open cell foam?

Does all that sound right? I mean normal? Is there a particular tread or compound that cleans out better than others?
What would be the next step firmer from the open cell foam that comes with the mega softs?

What's up with Gold 2.2 Truck Dirt Webs?? Pushed out now till the end of September?

I have two sets of broken in dirt tech inserts, one cut as stated earlier in this thread and one not cut, I can honestly say they are my favorite foams after trying ALL of the others, The AKA foams are good but to me they seem either too hard or too soft for any condition. Similar with the Proline Blue foams. The Sweep and Panther orange are a good soft closed cell foams when I need something a little softer than the Dirt Techs. (outside mostly)

One tire being unavailable is not gonna kill the stadium truck class. I personally don't even like any of the clay compound tires, so its Green Dirt webs for me.

Yes, yes they are. Gold DW's were dialed at the JConcepts Summer Series at the Outback Raceway in Chico.
