Thanks. Didn't think about doing a quick recalibration. I'll try that as well.

Default Need advice

I want to get an electric stadium truck to practice and improve my driving skills.
locally we do not race 1/10th scale but from my understanding if you are able to go fast with a 2wd vehicle you will be fast with a 4wd.
I know nothing of 2wd trukt so I need some advice what are the recommendations for this car and i'm thinking of getting something used as this is a practice car.
any advice on equipment will be great as I am planning to use this car on a 1/8 scale track

I never want to talk you out of getting a T6.1 but, if you don’t race them, and it’s meant for a 1/8 track... I don’t want you to resent getting it either. The best practice is going to be with the car you want to be good at. Look for different lines, try driving slower and not needing any marshals, then add the speed back. Things like that. Good luck, feel free to ask if you have other questions.

Here are my thoughts....
I race 1/10 ST, 2wd buggy, 4wd buggy, 1/8 truggy, 1/8 buggy. The 1/10 we race on carpet. Now that hones your skills!
I don't think a 1/10 ST on an 1/8 scale dirt track is going to accomplish what you want. The best thing to do is just take the 1/8 and practice as much as you can. Buy a used 1/8 for practice and run the heck out of it.

Finishing up a build for 17.5. What are some running weights people are seeing? Only set up I could find was at about 1850 grams. Ready to run and without a body my truck is at 1771 grams. That's with the brass c mount and aluminum electronics plate. Thanks in advance for any help.

Comparing apples to oranges here, but my YZ-2T was below 1700 with 20g of sticky weights in front of a full-size Futaba servo, with a small Muchmore Euro V2 esc, gear diff, Schelle slipper, Lunsford turnbuckles and the painted kit body. Oh, I almost forgot I am using the very light Performa Racing 4000 mAh batteries, which shave a lot of weight (weighing ~125 g).

On clay I was running 27/78 with a fan, coming off at 130 degrees on a 7min main.

I ran my t6.1 at stock nats at OCRC and I ran 25/78 with a 30mm R1 thick fan finished 4th in the 10min A main and motor came off at 130. Plenty of punch and speed.
