Anyone have some set ups for the x factor motor on large clay track (OCRC). Looking for timing and hearing. Ran out of the box timing at 51 degrees and 78-27. Liked it but wondering if anyone as more experience with these motors as this was just with one day running the motor. Thanks in advance.

ya i put a tad of that on and then realized the instructions i was reading for the gear diff (not included in the kit) lol asked for something else, then when you search for gear diff fluid etc it shows this diff kind that has like 60,000 or 100,000 something it seems

For diff oil, depending on motor, track surface and grip, will dictate how thick. Higher motor wind (like 17.5 stock racing) = lower viscosity diff oil. Less traction (loose dirt) also = lower viscosity. Lower motor wind (like 6.5 mod motor) = higher viscosity, and likewise more traction (carpet) = higher viscosity. I would say overall range is probably 3000 to 15000... https://www.amainhobbies.com/team-as...453215?v=18319

I have a question about the T6.1, can a setup sheet for a T6.1 be used on a T5M?. Are the trucks similar enough to get about the same results or is there enough differences the T5M won't handle like the T6 with the same setup? The reason I ask I was watching a video of a local racer he shared a setup sheet for the T6.1 that was a great all around setup for indoor high bite and outdoor with very minor tweaks. The indoor high bite is the track I plan on racing.

If your getting setup sheets from the pros , well, they race on HIGHLY manicured tracks and have a totally different driving style than a new driver. I chased the pros settings for years and never felt good. I started learning what did what and it did wonders. I would consider some one else's set up as the bare basics, then go from there. Remember , tires are the most important

i got to the rear hub assembly and got both put on but one needed the insert thing pushed in a tad more so it moved "more freely" once attached etc. however when I went to remove the hub from the 2 spacers one of the spacers went awol so now i need to order another part to get one little plastic spacer - smh.
oh well I guess. maybe I should order some upgraded part now so I can get some of my moneys worth instead of buying it just for a plastic insert.
any suggestions I believe the spur that comes in the kit is a 81 or 82T 48p spur.
I bought a 48p 25t pinion associated brand and I need to order a spur, I was thinking a 78t per the track user suggestion running a t6.1

IMO, no expert but you can start there. When I got my t6.1 I measured some important things before I sent the t5 on the way. The setting were pretty much spot on. What I did noticed with the t6.1 was there was just more adjustment to work with. What I felt I was missing on the t5 I found on the t6. You need to learn to tune on your own , just read some basics to get started.
