Something about the 2014 IIC layout doesn't look like the one we have at 5280 for the last 4 months

I've been to three different tracks in the last month, or so, that had that same dreadful Vegas layout...America's only layout apparently. Nice to see IIC bucking the trend and doing something different.

Very similar to the layout we had at 12th worlds. Left side is just a bit tighter with a deeper chicane. I thought the layout was fun and challenging to drive on, although it seems like a lot of the keyboard warriors thought it was lame.

Not yet, it will be in a day or so. It is generally live by the time qualifying starts on the 3rd day. Practice isn't streamed. IIC's FB has the timing sheets posted at the end of the day sometimes during practice.

It would be nice to see Scotty just come out and say "its going to be a different layout than the year before" every year. To keep every track in the US from running the same damn layout for the 4+ months leading up to IIC.

There's no danger of us running this layout anytime soon. The track is 108x52.

Everything seems to be going well here. Just waiting for the grip to come up so we can start making changes. It's building at a predictable rate. Gravity tires have been fine. Layout is a little odd feeling but we're getting used to it. Should be a good race. There's 47 heats.

Is anyone going to be at the track tomorrow night 10/16/14? Myself and Dick (and anyone that would like to join in) would like to come clean up the pits, restrooms and walk ways. All we need is a key to let us in. Please let me know.

Thanks
Russ
